Great location, friendly, helpful Staff,
Very welcoming staff, steep driveway but were able to get parking which was great; location was great to walk into town, to visit museums and sight see and some fab eating places and cafes close by. The room was clean and roomy enough and had a kitchenette; the bed was a bit too soft and saggy…our only complaint really. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenience location but not the room
Excellent location easy to access local eateries and pubs. Everything are just walking distance and convenient car park. But bit disappointing about the bed is too soft 1 side is sinking maybe is time to upgrade. Also cos we have disabled bathroom after shower whole bathroom is wet even until midnight, not designed properly. The heater in the room seems not working can't turn it on. Might come back again because it's location and car park only we can have allocate "better " room than this.

Very nice motel
Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Kitchen is also well-equipped for a short stay. Many television channels (both sky movies and Netflix). Can be loud at the weekend which however didn’t bother us (as we are not light sleepers).

I picked this hotel as it was listed as a 4 star. When I compare it to other 4 star hotels, Alexis doesn't in my opinion rate as 4 star, it would rate as a 3 star. The walls are so thin I could hear my neighbours conversation. There are complimentary ear plugs for guests to use, so that says it all.The car parking is terrible. Tiny spaces and trying to get your luggage between cars was a challenge as there are no walkways. Staff were friendly, but I wouldn't stop here again

Really disappointed. Have stayed a number of times in the recent past. The location is great, close to the Central City and bars and restaurants nearby however there are more things at play here. Parking is a big issue. Being able to access the driveway or backing into traffic on the busy main street another. The rooms are adequate but cold in the winter and dimly lit. Beds are passable but by no means comfortable. The rooms are clean but cobwebs and insects can be found if you look for them (or they look for you). Robin, cheerful enough on the surface cannot go for long before she raises an issue with you the customer such as "I should ring ahead" or "if I'd known xyz things would be faster at check in". Sometimes just sometimes the customer should be given a bit of respect. I wouldn't be staying if it were not for convenience and the reasonable tariff. That now I must call into question. If I were you reading this review, I would look elsewhere for better returns
