Quiet relaxing all inclusive hotel

Very relaxing quiet resort. The lagoon ocean beach area is so ice and safe. The jerk chicken on the beach is great. Helpful staff and great wait staff in the restaurant. Excellent omelets in the morning. My 3rd visit . Will definitely return.

Jewel by the Sea

SeaGarden is jewel by the sea, with almost everything we need in a long-weekend getaway. We had the special opportunity to experience "Jamaica Day" (Feb. 28) this trip--the dinner buffet/desserts were exceptional! (I didn't know what a fresh baked gizzada tasted like, as store bought are usually a week old -- this one melted in my mouth! A big thank you to the pastry chefs!) We're breakfast people, even on holiday, and appreciated the omelet bar/buffet with corned beef and curry chicken. The banana bread/carrot bread are delicious, too. Thursday night we enjoyed the piano bar from 6-7pm. On Monday night we went again, this time for appetizers, as it was Manager's Special night. (Speaking of appetizers, we noticed them appearing at the pool bar from 6-7pm, which was great, as the dinner buffet opens at 7pm and we're used to eating dinner closer to 5:30pm at home.) We drink a lot of water and liked filling our own bottles with filtered cold water at two locations -- inside the dining room (back corner before you exit to the restrooms) and inside left front corner of the pool bar. Thanks for this! SeaGarden maintains a lovely property. This time the tennis courts were being resurfaced. In the meantime, we found exercise by snorkeling in the bay, walking the beach, working out in the fitness room and through various activities in the game room (both located near the pool bar). (Only one negative comment -- room temp water in our sink/shower, no hot. Couldn't be fixed.)
The piano bar has a new sign! It is upstairs in the main building (above the lobby). Visit on Thursday and Monday nights!
You're only 5 minutes from the airport and can watch the airplanes come in from the sea (but they're not actually noisy/distracting).
Snorkel near the rocky areas and see minnows, fish, and coral. You can borrow snorkel gear free of charge (opens at 9am).
Take a lunch break on the upper deck--enjoy jerk chicken from the grill below. (Grill open 11:30am-5:30pm.)

I would say it was amazing. The service was great. It's a little slower than what we're used to in the United States, but all the same pretty good. Check-in Ms. Kassandra and Ms. Claudia truly amazing. They need a raise. The food was great compared to anywhere else at any other resort that we've eaten at in jamaica. There are no elevators but there are a bunch of rooms on the ground floor and 2nd floor. Hotel was very boutique-y and vintage, but in a good way. I will definitely come back. Planning on bringing the kids next spring break. The beach and the accessibility to shops and attractions were great. Everything within walking distance. Most of the locals are helpful, but you still have to be mindful of scams with taxis and watch out for female drivers. They seem to be the ones. That I use to run the most scams. The older ladies help us around the city, it gives a real community sense of community. We bought local with the local vendors first before going to any commercial businesses. And they were great felt safe for the most part, but I am a New Yorker, so it is about the same environment/ culture. Vendors were pushy, but polite, so a simple no, thank you and continuing to walk on by works well. Tips are not necessary, but are appreciated.One u s dollar goes a long way.

Good and bad help by the front desk.

A woman at the frontdesk with big red glasses were very unfriendly and rude to us when we wanted help with changing room. She said our issue was unsolvable, but we got help the day after by woman with a great servise attitude. The food were more or less the same everyday.

Welcome Home!

We only stayed one night (as we had been to another part of the island for the rest of our visit), but we have stayed at SeaGarden before, and it was like coming home. Several of the staff recognized us by name, and as expected, they were courteous and friendly. A few positive things we noticed from our last visit were the continued improvements being made: refreshed painting, more variety on the buffet (like smoked salmon at breakfast--yay!), and the game room. (Note: Maybe the game room was there before, but we were in the pool or on the beach! The game room is beside the pool bar, and it is air-conditioned. It has darts, air hockey, foosball, couches for reading, and more! Fun place to hang out if the weather is rainy. No food or drink allowed in the game room, and this keeps it clean and ready to use.) We love SeaGarden Beach Resort because of the near proximity to the airport (5 minute drive!). No stress when it's time to leave for the airport! (P.S. Use JTL which is Jamaica Tours Limited for your airport transportation. Their drivers are always on time, even early, and they drive safely. We've been using them literally for years.)

Lovely friendlu family run hotel, staff cannot do enough and i feel they enjoy coming to work. As English travellers my only concrrn and its not a biggy is the food in the restaurant buffet is very samey samey. But you certainly wouldnt go hungry. Clayton at breakfast was the kindest man i know and went above and beyond for us.
