Reeked of cigarette smell
I was given a room which was steeped in cigarette smell, horrible… and the room phone didn’t work either, when i tried to call front desk. Finally called from my phone and they gave me another room which was ok. But too much time wasted in the whole process.

Worst place to stay
Where is my follow up call regarding my refund that’s isn’t happening fast enough ??!! I would never never never go to that motel 6 again EVER! As a former assist Gm w/ similar chain this place is horrible !! I mean at least we tried & we had customer service skills and loved working in hospitality!! Those employees act like we are bothering them !! Stayed sat only only because I did not want to leave until I spoke with hotels.com and my brother stayed only in went elsewhere

We didn’t arrive until 2:00am, but the front desk was open and helped us check in quickly. The person at the desk was very friendly and check out was easy. The only issue was the mini fridge. It’s pretty loud at night. We needed to use it, but I’m guessing it would be better if you could unplug it. Overall, it’s what we expected and was great for a 2 day trip

Perfectly adequate
Perfectly adequate. I hadn’t stayed at a Motel 6 in ages. I was only in Santa Barbara for one night and wanted something affordable and thus fit the bill. Room was small but perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was large and separated with a door. Bed was only a full size but it was fine. There is a fair amount of road noise but we brought a noise machine. If you just need a place to sleep for the night, it’s a good value for a pricey area.

Dreams of burning to death
I was awaken by the smell of smoke. It was like being on the inside of a meat smoker. With all of the fires in LA I was certain that a fire had started locally. Went outside to see if I had to evacuate only to find that it was raining and no smoke hung in the outside area. After a half hour of making sure that I was safe by walking the property, I returned to bed with the fan blowing to clear the smoke from the room. The next morning I went to the office to alert the staff to find it was worse in the office. My room was next to the office. The morning desk person curtly told me that it was incense. Apparently she like to burn more sticks than a temple at Ankur Wat. Needless to say that poor sleep with dreams of being consumed in a blaze is not the experience that I was hoping for when I booked a stay at the hotel. Otherwise the hotel was OK

Joseph checked me in, he was very kind and helpful. Later that night, some difficult people checked in. I was walking my dog and encountered them - I think it was a mixture of drug addiction / domestic violence - IDK, I asked if the women needed help, she did not. She later was banging on my door and window, yelling at me. In the morning she was seated outside the door - I found a man to watch over while I loaded by car - had my pets with me due to evac. had to miss work that day AND pay for the full 3 day stay due to Expedia. Worst, worst experience. PS - the updated rooms were nice enough but the floors were black with dirt.

Barebones near the airport
We had our flight changed and ended up arriving after the car rental location in the airport was closed, so we took a room near the airport. The Uber to get there was very expensive because of the date, not the motels fault. I had confirmed before we arrived that they would be open for check in after midnight. When we got there, the office was closed, no one replied to repeated pushing of the buzzer. We had to phone them for them to come to the desk. Then the clerk stood there like they didn't know what they were supposed to do. It was like pulling teeth. They should have known we were coming. The room was clean enough, but the towels were the most thread bare towels I have ever seen. And one towel per person, no hair dryer to dry my hair. Not the worst motel I have ever stayed at, but not the best either. We were just there to get a few hours sleep then back to the airport to pick up the rental car.
