The stay was good and the room was larger, although upon entering out room we did have a clean room we found a large stain on out blanket. The Kids pool and the Whirl Pool were both blocked off, but the larger pool was open for use. The main hall on the main floor had several stained ceiling tiles, which didn't look good, but they must have had a water leak. In our bathroom the make up light above the mirror did not work. I did like that there was several great places close to get great food.

All but the beds
Check in staff was friendly and efficient. We were traveling with two smaller dogs so at my request he moved us from the third floor to the first for ease of taking the dogs outside as needed. Breakfast staff person was efficient and friendly. The beds left something to be desired. Every movement by spouse was felt and it was extremely soft.

Horrible. Stains all over the floor, stains on the couches. Rooms smells like piss. Toilet was not cleaned. Afraid to sleep on bed because I don’t know if they might have bed bugs. We lost money this night of stay and I booked for 2 days. We left home within 2 hours of making a hard decision and complaints.

Gross. Rethink
First we got there and check in was great. We got into our room and sat down for about 20 minutes and we noticed a few bed bugs crawling on the bed. We went to request another room or refund. They gave us a suite room. We checked it thoroughly again first. Next day we woke up to the housekeeper barging in our room after one knock. She didn't say anything before or after knocking. Check out wasn't for hours later. No front coffee, no front side store, breakfast was ok, room was quiet. I would say this hotel has went downhill definitely since new owner ship. Was hard to wanna give it a good score at all due to bed bugs

Family Visit
Room had slight odor to it, no guide for TV, toilet had trouble flushing. Upon check in found the pool pump was broke down and not available, family had planned using it as part of the reason staying there.

So-so. Its obvious this hotel has not had good maintenance or thorough cleaning in quite some time. I can imagine it was once a decent hotel, but needs some extensive TLC.

Poorly Managed
There appears to have been a recent update to the furniture, so the beds, etc. are comfortable, clean, and in good shape. The carpet did have a tear or two, though. The big issue is with any of the few amenities you get at a La Quinta. The pool was closed. There is no food to buy in the market in the lobby and no food vending machines, only drinks. There were no coffee machines at the breakfast buffet. Additionally, there was no one at the front desk for at least 5 minutes when I and some other guests were trying to check in.

This is the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I was there to have surgery at the Mayo clinic. The hotel was billed as near the Mayo clinic.It is 15-20 minutes away. Pool was closed, laundry room no machines worked, all ice machines were broken. My adult children had to ask 3 days in a row for room cleaning. How does a professional business allow their customer service assocites at the front desk to work barefooted. I was in the hospital two days into the stay having surgery so my kids put up with this out of necessity. Laquinta needs to really reevaluate their standards at this location.

Won’t stay again.
We went to the hotel and were told the pool/hot tub room was closed. The man at the front desk was kind, but lied and said he would give me a refund, which was then refused by the hotel. I asked a few times about a refund if we go somewhere else, and he assured me we would get a refund. A few days later I find out that the hotel manager won’t actually approve it.

I brought my daughter here for a birthday overnight. I picked this hotel from online pictures of the children’s area of the pool. When we went to the pool that part of the pool was closed with no reason given, so we had to swim in the deeper water. While we were there swimming there was a group of young men (seemingly friends of the guy at the front desk) sitting in the hot tub and when they got out they were in their underwater! NOT appropriate!! I am unsure, but I do not think they were hotel guests. Pool doors to the outside were propped open making it chilly. To add to the pool problems, the next morning the entire pool was closed. Guests should be made aware of closures. This was why I chose this hotel. Our room was okay, not the cleanest, the TV did not work and the toilet seat was broken. Overall, disappointing.
