My husband & I are frequent visitors of Eastparc. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience last week. We always book the room online & when we checked in, I showed the receptionist (Shirly) the confirmation email that I got from Hotels.com. She then asked us to wait while checking, but after 10mins, she said that my name was not listed there b'cos they had not received any emails from Hotels.com about my reservation. She then explained that Hotels.com had no partnership with Eastparc & she doubted the confirmation email that I got. She asked me to wait for more than 30mins. During that time, no one came to explain us what happened. When I asked her again, she still didn't give us satisfying answer, but doubting the authenticity of my confirmation email. She argued that no one had ever stayed there via Hotels.com! We started to get annoyed by her attitude & her unsatisfying answer. Then after 1hour the Manager (Kristiawan) showed up, explained to us with the same reason, but he offered a solution. I personally was annoyed by the way the receptionist handled the situation. She should have called the Duty Manager by the time she found that she couldn't decide the problem. She shouldn't have let customers to wait for more than 1hour without coming up with the solution. I gave my appreciation to the Manager. He handled the solution well and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. The next day was my birthday, in the morning, the Manager surprised me with birthday cake & present.
