Delhi is applauded for its museums and art with such cultural attractions as Rashtrapati Bhavan and India International Centre. Visitors highlight this historical city's temples while sights include Western Court Building and Kasturba Gandhi Marg.
New Delhi teems with rich cultural experiences & overall friendly people, though we were often looked at curiously, maybe because we tend to intentionally veer off the beaten path. If you've never visited Delhi, traffic is not for the feint of heart!

Historic places, try to get a good tour guide or thoroughly research all the places you want to visit. Use the convenient and safe Metra train system as much as possible Be careful with outside food and water intake

Huge city, sometimes difficult to navigate from one attraction to the other. Busy traffic +++ Great historical attractions to visit, plenty of places to eat & shop.

A city that made us feel London was peaceful when we returned. An incredible experience. Would recommend 24-48 hours max in the city before visiting elsewhere.

New Delhi has many wonderful historical sites but has 34 million people, pollution, and crazy traffic. If you are unfamiliar, use a guide.

New Delhi is amazing! It has both modern and old city elements so you can find the chaos of India but also get away when needed.

Delhi, New and Old like night and day, but you have to experience both to experience Delhi was a whole.

Get ready for a new experience of chaos if you've never driven (or rode) in India before. The traffic rules are questionable or not enforced; takes a bit of getting used to. UBER was cheap to get around; food cost was pretty normal by US standards

Fascinating city, but the air is very dirty and around Connaught it's a warren of scammers approaching foreigners constantly. But so much to see and pretty easy to get around if you know what prices to offer for transport

A dirty city coming from Europe but the city is alive with culture, smells, colour and energy. Not a place I could live but visiting it for 2 days was enough.
"Room clean and well appointed. Staff courteous and addressed requests quickly with enthusiasm. Did request a non-smoking room and first room assigned did have strong odour of smoke but was moved to another room without issue. Located next to a busy road there is some nighttime noise. However on the whole a great property with excellent staff at a reasonable price. "
"Conveniently located hotel within aerocity, just next door to Delhi airport.
From our first day of arrival, all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained with room cleaning/clean linen daily.
The breakfast was excellent value and included a vast range of north and South Indian items, including live stations. There was options to order food to the room (which was very good on the occasion which we ordered it).
There is a nearby food court and square with several restaurants and coffee shops and convenience store within aerocity.
We would definitely stay here again if visiting Delhi!"
"Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi, is great 5-star hotel, which offers real service.
I was only there for a day but I appreciated how the hotel treated its guests -- be it the front office, the concierge or the coffee shop.
I had requested an early check in and as promised I got one despite checking in earlier than I had initially stated. Thanks very much to their Customer Sales service. "
