Just a boardwalk away from the ocean! The rooms were better than we expected. Very family oriented with a little hangout and yard game section! 10/10 would recommend this place to stay and we will be back!

Great last minute find!

Great place to stay! Easy boardwalk walk to beach. Lots of fun extras like cornhole, ping pong, bikes, and comfy seating. Owner even has towels, umbrellas, toys, sunscreen, and chairs you can borrow for beach. Very friendly environment.

Older property but remodeled interior. We were specifically looking for the retro vibe and this property fit the bill. Short boardwalk to the uncrowded beach which was great as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was truly excellent — warm, welcoming, and personal. Christina, the owner, was absolutely lovely. She spoke to us like old friends, and her kindness really made our experience special. The room was clean and cozy, and overall we felt very comfortable during our stay. The only small suggestions we have would be to add a few more hooks in the bathroom for towels or clothes, a small table or shelf for toiletries, and maybe a couple more wall outlets for convenience. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others!

We did not get to stay as they did not have a room for us and called the morning we started traveling to tell us. The person on the phone was very rude and unhelpful.

Nice little place to stay

Great little place that with a little more renovation will be an excellent place to stay. Quiet room and ac kept it nice and cold

This is a charming motel with so many lovely features. I grill, gas fire pit, beach umbrellas, swings, sooooo cute. You can walk to to eat and beach is just a quick walk down the path. The beach is in a quiet area. Love this place

Canceled our room an hour after check in because the “AC” wasn’t working in the room I booked after calling them at 3 to see if I could do early check in. So I guess they didn’t know and hour or so before that the AC wasn’t working. Said they were going to help us find somewhere else to stay and said “do you hear the wind, I’m driving. I in fact heard no wind. Then they proceeded to block my phone number. Worst customer service I have ever received. Will never consider staying here and will never recommend this place to anyone.

My honest review

We had the most incredible time at this cozy beach spot! The place has direct beach access, making it so easy to enjoy the sand and waves. The location offers the perfect view to catch both sunrise and sunset – truly breathtaking. The amenities were top-notch, with a fantastic gas grill for cooking, and everything we needed was readily available. A huge shoutout to Christina, who was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her kindness and attentiveness made our stay so much more enjoyable, and she truly made the experience 10x better. This wasn’t our first time staying here, and it definitely won’t be the last. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else – this place is a gem! 5 stars all around!

Great experience. Thank you

Convenient. Great location. Beach access. Clean. Just what I needed for a long weekend getaway. There was a lot of commotion from an arguing couple in an adjoining room for several hours but that’s no fault of the host or a reflection of a typical stay. I plan to return! Thanks “Beacon!”

Perfect beach, great dunes

It's an old fashioned Motel, clean, great price, with a fantastic board walk through beautiful dunes with bunnies and the best beach! There's a high deck great for seeing the ocean long distances and 2 stories of stairs down to the beach, so good exercise for the legs - not for anyone who can't walk stairs.

Love this little place. True, it's not fancy but the beds are comfy, clean and a short boardwalk through the dunes to the beach. It's older yes and no ice machine but you are staying oceanside for a helluva price. We have now stayed 3x and it was always pleasant. Danielle was extremely helpful and courteous as well!!

Great location for price!

We stayed at the Beacon Hotel in Salter Path and had a great experience overall. Christina, our main point of contact, was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish, which really set the tone for a relaxing stay. The price was very reasonable considering the location, just a short walk (about 400 feet) to the beach. That said, be aware that the stairs down to the beach are pretty steep, so it might be a bit tricky if you’re carrying a lot of gear or have mobility concerns. Our double queen room was the perfect size for two people. I could see it working for two adults and maybe two small kids, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a larger group. The room stayed wonderfully cool thanks to a quiet and efficient AC, which was much appreciated during the heat wave this part of the country was experiencing during our trip. It was clean, comfortable, and had just about everything we needed. A couple small improvements like more outlets between the beds, blackout curtains, and maybe a desk or vanity in the little nook near the bathroom would’ve made it even better. One thing to note is that sound travels easily through the walls, so you’ll likely hear folks walking by or chatting outside. It didn’t ruin our stay, but it’s something to be aware of. Outside, the hotel really shines. There’s a patio area with a shower to rinse off after the beach, plus an outdoor lounge area with games, beach toys, umbrellas, even an outdoor kitchen setup. They also offer two bikes.

NYE getaway

Clean, no-frills room with a kitchenette was all we needed for a NYE getaway with our two dogs. Check-in was quick and the staff checked on us a few times during our stay. Our two dogs came with us and loved the beach! My one complaint would be the sheerness of the curtains in the bathroom - anyone in the house behind the inn would be able to see inside. I remedied it by hanging a towel over the curtain rod. :)
