The hotel itself is nice, but the service was terrible. One night, when the waiter thought I had drank too much, he decided not to give me back my proper change. When I confronted him about it, he quickly apologized. In the same hotel restaurant on another day, a different waiter clearly did not want to have to serve me. He smiled when I asked for something, but slunk around moodily otherwise. Lastly, I was ripped off by one of the tuk-tuk drivers who sits outside the hotel to scavenge for business. We had an argument and when I went inside, I saw the front desk receptionist laughing. As soon as he saw me looking, he immediately put on his "professional face."
In general, the feeling I got was people pretending to help behind fake smiles. The location is not near enough to anything and there are few options for buying food / groceries. I recommend using PassApp to call your own tuk-tuk drivers so you won't be ripped off like I was. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best. Overall, a terrible experience.
