We picked this gem of a hotel for its location in the heart of the old town, with views that are simply spectacular. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying in someone’s grand mansion. The breakfast, prepared by a sweet grandmother, was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The suites have towering ceilings that transport you to another time. The staff are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Highly recommended!"

This place is an absolute delight! The service is A , the food is amazing (the breakfast is fresh, the chocolate croissant, I can keep going)…..All of it!!! The rooms are spotless with the sweetest decor. Every detail is spot on. I highly recommend staying in this boutique hotel. I’ve not experienced anything quite like it. And did I mention the service? Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Come for the service and food but also make sure you take in the stunning views.

The property was beautiful. The staff was accomodating, friendly, and responsive. The restaurant was lovely and ornately adorned, the rooftop seating area was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were wonderful. I felt safe since you had to be buzzed in and out of the property. My room was a garden view looking into the atrium--so pretty! My room had EVERYTHING I needed. If you don’t mind steep roads, the property is definitely walkabout to all of historic Quito. If you can't do steps, then the drive up is less than $2. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I loved it.

Beautiful well kept historic building with truly stunning views from the room, the restaurant and roof top bar. Very attentive quality staff. Every amenity including hot tub and steam room. The hotel feels safe and secure. Not a place you’d walk to or from though. Ubers are only $2 to $4 to local spots. $27 to airport.

Quito-Vista del Angel

Absolutely excellent! The hotel is located with a fantastic view, giving you an almost unreal overlook over the city. Quito is located 2850meter above sea level which gives this place a surreal “high up in the mountains “ feel. David at the reception is fantastic, flawless English and always happy to help. We had a driver / guide by the name of Rene. Fantastic person and knowledgeable guide. We explored the historical center by foot one day and went to Mindo the cloud forest the other. Never felt unsafe, I think Quito and Ecuador in general suffers from bad press. Breakfast is made fresh for every guest and is a mix of fresh fruit, eggs coffe/tea bread and biscuits. Note: We are a couple in our 30’s and we don’t speak Spanish.

The hotel is situated with a magnificent view of Quito Old Town. It has an attractive well-maintained exterior and is nicely appointed inside. Our room overlooked the garden, which we had requested, and was quiet and comfortable. The hotel has a large roof-top restaurant, with great views over the city, They served a perfect breakfast each morning, accompanied by wonderful fresh fruit juice made of local fruits! The dinner menu offered several options, including for vegetarians; the food was very tasty and the presentation was appealing. The staff was courteous, and thoughtful. The front desk was attended by James who spoke excellent English and was unfailingly kind and helpful. We walked down to the Old Town (steep but not a long way) but would definitely recommend taking a taxi back up to the the hotel as these are cheap and the hike uphill was arduous! We stayed at the hotel over New Year and were invited to join the staff and other guests for a celebration on the roof-top patio with complimentary champagne and hors-d'oeuvres! From there we had a wonderful view of fireworks all over Quito and an opportunity to observe some of the local customs associated with the New Year. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Fantastic !

Fantastic view of the Historical Centre, particularly at night. The location of the hotel, on a hill but still close to the old city’s main square and architectural gems, was ideal. The food in the restaurant was delicious. As a seasoned traveler, I must say that the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel I My room, though rather small, was well decorated, had a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. While I felt very safe, I appreciated the receptionist’s recommendation to get back to the hotel after dark by taxi. The fare was pretty inexpensive (1.50 USD). All in all, I had a great stay and can only recommend this charming hotel boutique.

El hotel es espectacular con una vista privilegiada hacia el centro histórico, ubicado en una de las calles altas, lo cual puede tener ventajas y desventajas, nosotros priorizamos la tranquilidad y el parking, dos cosas difíciles de encontrar en pleno centro. Nos quedamos en habitación standard, con almohadas memory foam y colcha de plumas. El desayuno es increíble, con todo tipo de variedad, personal super amable y el restaurante nos sorprendió con su comida. Recomendado.
