Good but but not on par with top hotels
Hotel room is spacious with desk, chair and another chair & small table. Bed and pillows are comfortable, linens are good but on top there is only a comforter, no top sheet or blankets. Hope they change the comforter for each guest. Also, with a thick comforter it is difficult to get the sleep temperature correct. No iron nor ironing board in room. Limited area to hang clothes and only 8 hangers in closet. Bathroom is large and decently stocked. Shower is large with nice shower head and hand nozzle, good water pressure. Lighting is bit dim for makeup, hair or shaving. Ventilation is poor leading to totally fogged mirrors after a shower (need to leave the door open). Toilet is low and small, hard to use if you are a big person.
Gym
Small gym for a big hotel. Two treadmills and one elliptical - All of home gym quality, not Commercial. Free weights and Functional Trainer are good. Towels not stocked for the week and no AC - gym air is stuffy - leave door open.
Hotel staff is friendly and being attached to a large upscale mall is a big advantage. The mall has lots of choices for coffee or sandwiches if the pricey, but good hotel food is not of interest and many good retail stores. There is a pool on the roof of this very tall building which is interesting and the views from nearly every floor of Medellin are great.
In summary, if the deficits above are an issue try one of the international hotels else if you get a good price you will be happy here.
