Hinton is a lovely small town near the border of Jasper National Park. While walking on the trails near town, we have been warmly welcomed by residents. This trip we found it easy to get to the trails in the park that we wished to walk.

Close to Jasper Park Gates. Great easy walk around Beaver Boardwalk. Easy access to groceries/food. You need a car to get into the Park and explore.

We walked around the Beaver Boardwalk which was a lovely 30 minute walk in the morning. Most of our time was spent in Jasper.

Sometimes get the pulp mill smell hanging around the town, but really not too bad.
"The rooms were clean, a freshness. A nice touch being small chocolats on the king bed welcoming.
While breakfast is provided, the breakfast area seemed small and crowded. A nice touch when I was there being fresh in season cherries."
"Hotel is right by the mall. Although not much to offer there there’s your usual fast food places to grab a bit within a couple minutes. Room was clean and comfortable."
"
After a long 12-hour drive, we needed a place that was simple, affordable, and — most importantly — clean. This spot was exactly that. The room was modest, nothing fancy, but it was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, which made for a restful night. The small AC unit kept the room perfectly cool, and there was basic cable TV for some downtime. While the door has a standard lock, I would suggest adding a chain lock for a bit of extra peace of mind. Overall, a clean and comfortable stay that was just what we needed for a quick stopover."
