Yuchi is applauded for its cultural attractions such as Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village and Liaoxiang Changhong Tea Story House. The city has something for everyone including sights like Sun Moon Lake and Sun Moon Lake Wen Wu Temple within a small-town setting.
We would highly recommend taking the boat to the other 2 stops across the lake. Hiking to the Ci'en Pagoda and taking the cable car are fun. Wenwu Temple is also a must visit site. Don't forget to try the Sun Moon Lake black tea - #18 is great!

My only complaint is I did not manage to find anywhere good to eat in town. If you are a cyclist though you will be hard pressed to ever find a more beautiful ride, the 20 mile loop around the lake was beyond beautiful!

By 8pm most stores and restaurants on this side of the island are already closed. You will be left with 3 7-11 stores for dinner. So plan accordingly.

Gorgeous lake and mountains, great getaway from city life. Public transportation in Taiwan is amazing - the states really needs to take a page from Taiwan's book!

My first time going, and we loved the local town. There was plenty of shopping and great views from the pier.
"Very friendly staff. We checked in late in the afternoon. They took us through a shortcut to the ropeway station because they knew that it was about to close. We would have missed it if it were for their proactive help. Overall, we are very happy with the service, the condition of the property, the breakfast, etc. The only thing that could use improvement is their towels They were threadbare. That said, they were very clean."
