This hotel was as expected. There is nothing fancy about it, and it is fine for a few nights. (I stayed here for 3 nights in December.) It is located in a quiet area but is near enough to the things you would want to see. Breakfast was good and complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available all day. The bedroom window opened which was great to let in fresh air. The one big negative was the incredibly small shower with the plastic curtain that clung to me. I had water pressure and hot water -- no issue there. But the size of the shower was SMALL. If you are a big person (I am not), this may be an issue for you. Otherwise, this place is fine for a few nights.

Everything was great, the only thing that I didn't like is that the breakfast wasn't great. But really everything else was just amazing and I enjoyed my stay very much.

Awful manager
stayed for 5 days, the room was fine and location is good. The price is reasonable, but the major drawback is the man working behind the desk! He literally drags the rating down singlehandedly! As previous reviews say, he is gruff, unfriendly and never smiles, and he seems to be there ALL the time On arrival he just stared at me, no hello as you might expect, made a point of taking his time to approach. He asked me to fill an address card, I wrote it then he said "FULL address", I said it was my full address and he tutted because I wrote it all on one line with commas instead of 3 separate lines! Eventually gave me the key, no "thank you", no "enjoy your stay"! The first few times I came in or out I smiled and said hello (you have to pass him), no reply just a (fairly malevolent) stare... It seems he really doesn't want you there! After first day I took to staring at the floor until safely in the elevator, but I could feel him staring me all the way in! One day I forgot my key in the room and my heart sank as I realised I'd have to ask him for another! He only issued the key after grilling me that the key was definitely in the room and not lost- I felt like a shamed schoolboy being berated by the headmaster! One days of the 5 he was off, and a lovely lady was in his place- warm, friendly, genuine... Exactly what you'd expect- the hotel would benefit greatly from her working more often I wouldnt return unless i knew he retired- i'd rather pay more and stay elsewhere!

Nice place and great front service. Breakfast was nice, but was the same every day. After 4 days it felt that I was eating the same... we stayed for 8 nights. Would recommend the hotel to change the menu after at least 3 days ... every else was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location
Never felt so personally welcomed at check-in...Karin was so delightful as well as helpful that we returned again. The complimentary buffet breakfast is amazing and the cleanliness of dining room and bedrooms was of highest standard. Perfect location and high standards in service and cleanliness... A definite GEM

The check in staff was a grumpy man that had zero customer service skills. He had no patience for questions. The room window looked out into other hotel/apartment rooms. Spend a few bucks more and stay someplace else.

I have been to this property three times of the past 5 years. This property is basic and rooms are small. But you are in the middle of it all. The Metro is 5 minutes and it takes 15 minutes on train to get here from Airport. Nyhavn is a 3 minute walk. You cannot pay this kind of $$ for the location. That's the essence of their value proposition. Great value for location! If you plan on spending time in a hotel with all the fancy amenities, don't stay here. I highly recommend it!

Comfortable room at a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet adds to the value. Great, convenient location. No frills, but it has everything you really need. This was my second stay, and I would come back.

Great location, just steps from the water and a couple blocks from Nyhavn. Generous breakfast included. Nice staff. Main complaint was noise on the street late nights and early mornings even on the weekend. Wanted to have the window open because it was warm (and there's no AC), but it was loud.

A good location for airport and city access
Very quiet location but a few blocks from the M@ subway to the airport and plenty of public transport to the rest of the city. Staff were friendly and present 24 hours so arriving late or leaving early not a problem. I was in transit from the island of Aero to a flight the next day, so this was an affordable place to get some sleep and head out at 5 am for the airport. It would be suitable for someone intending to spend all their time exploring Copenhagen (which you should do anyway IMHO, it would be criminal to stay indoors in such a lively 24 hour city) and just needing a place to sleep. Anything I was finding in the center at affordable rate had shared bathrooms, and I draw a line at that. The bathroom at Maritime was spacious and had a great shower etc..
