Booked two rooms and front desk could only find one. After twenty minutes, finally got a 2nd room. Arrived on a hot day and AC didn’t work. Then they offered a fan. After another 20 minutes I got a different room, with no power to the AC. They then offered another room for an additional $100. Finally got changed to a 3rd room with working AC. No soap or shampoo in the room and no hair dryer. AC that did work was noisy, room was cramped, and generally worn. Staff seemed mostly incompetent and couldn’t understand my basic questions and were not very helpful. Appears they have one building with updated rooms that are more expensive, but two connecting buildings with very poor rooms. Definitely recommend staying elsewhere.

Greta place, clean and comfortable. Very close to airport. Good amenities, we only crashed here for night before heading to denali, breakfast was provided but they were out of milk. They had waffles and bagels and good juice

This is a great hotel to be close to the airport in Anchorage. The rooms are standard but comfortable and clean and the employees are fantastic they always make it a nice check in.

When we arrived we were a little disappointed based on the website pictures and previous comments. The outside looks like it had been given a new paint and looked fresh and inviting. The lobby is different but inviting with its warm fireplace and its unique art work. I had requested a deluxe room which was said to be newly renovated and was not sure I had been given the correct room ( It was my correct room). The carpet was old and worn with paint stains by the doors and no baseboard on the base of the walls. Also the ceiling Fire alarm in the room was disconnected and sitting on top of the desk table. ( major safety violation) The bathroom was beautifully updated, however missing some essentials I would suggest toilet roll holder, garbage can, bath/ shower mat, and Kleenex would be a nice addition. The bed linens look old and worn but were clean for the most part. The bed was comfortable. Our last day at the hotel they were renovating the room above us and was very noisy all day. No one informed us so was a little upset. The staff were friendly and nice and the breakfast buffet was adequate. My husband and I have traveled a lot and we found this hotel very overpriced at $262 per night. If you don’t mind a no frills hotel then the Puffin Inn will suit your needs.

A overnight stay before catching the flight back home. The area felt unsafe maybe because the strangers hanging out around area, I had to keep looking out the window to check on the car.

Puffin Inn had a shuttle from the airport which was nice. Check in process was efficient. The facility is pretty old. Our room is small but everything seems clean. We arrived middle of the night and leaving before lunch so not spending much time at the hotel or area to comment on proximity to activities.

Conveniently located close to the airport. Has shuttle service, which is great. Very clean. Good breakfast. But very noisy. The windows don’t prevent the traffic noise reaching you. The hotel is located on a triangle, so there is traffic from two streets.

This facility is only 4-5 minutes from the airport with free shuttle service. It is quite large and spread out, so it can require some walking from the main building to the annexes. My room was fairly small but adequate. It was clean and met my needs. The hallway and elevator carpets needs cleaning or replaced. Service was excellent.

Our experience was very good. We loved everything about the room and service. They did change our towels even when we hung them up. Not as eco friendly but not a real problem. I would have loved our beds remade but probably not a thing anymore. I don't know if everyone's experience would be the same as our room was in the main building.
