Kingston is a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Kingston Hotel. It was clean and easy to use. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The chef knows what he's doing and there's a bar in the evenings that makes great drinks.

Not as Advertised
The woman who checked us in was rude. Initially, I was thinking of asking for a second day, but after my interaction with her, I decided not to. The room was nice. The refrigerator was really cute. The bathroom door was a little scary. I kept expecting it to crush my fingers. Luckily it didn't. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. The shower was not entirely clean. I counted five hairs in it that did not belong to me or my daughter. The man at the desk when I was checking out was very nice. According to Hotels.com, I was not going to be charged for my stay until the end. However, 9 days before I even checked in, The Kingston charged my card for the full amount. When I asked about it, I was told that they don't do that. They always charge beforehand. I was also told that the hold on my room to cover damages would be $50, however she charged my card $100. I did not inquire about this due to her rudeness.

Power went out for whatever reason and there was no backup generator. So we were sitting in the dark until we went to sleep. Asked for towels on the second night and they said they didn’t have anymore towels.

New & Clean; not a $300 value though!
Maybe Savannah is just crazy expensive. Paid nearly $300 night for what feels like a $100/night typical roadside hotel. It does feel new and very clean but walls are thin- you hear everything. No coffee/tea which even low budget typically have available, although there are makers in the room. Quick drive into the city which is good for those of us not wanting to spend $500+/night in the city.

Great place to stay!
I got to the hotel a little before 12am. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and bubbly! It was nice to be greeted as such after a long day of traveling! Parking was easy and the side entrance for customers was really convenient since my room was the last at the hallway. I found the hotel to be clean and well kept. I stayed in a single king bedroom and everything was clean and worked appropriately. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The temperature control was easy to use. Cable gave me what I needed. The little coffee kcup machine worked well (just need to bring your own water). It is only 8 minutes away from the airport and is pet friendly!! I will 100% be returning next time I come to Savannah.

Nice but...
The hotel was nice but the walls are super thin so you can hear your neighbors' conversations. Also, there was a terrible smell (sewage like) in the room at times that seemed to be coming from the vents.

Excellent hotel
This is a lovely modern hotel 3 miles from the Savannah Amtrak station and around 4 miles from the historic district. It is great value for money compared to the historic area hotels. Recommended

Garden City GA stay
This hotel proved to be an economical choice just outside of the city of Savannah. Everything is new and clean. It has a gym, guest laundry, and a restaurant area where it seems there will soon be a breakfast offering. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The mattress was soft and the pillows were just the right density for me. There was a fridge/freezer and a Keurig. The bathroom had hand soap and body lotion in pump dispensers next to the sink and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the large, glassed shower. My only critiques of this hotel is that the water in the shower didn’t get as hot as I would like and the volume of water exiting the shower head was less than I would’ve preferred. There is some metal molding along the corners of the bathroom door that is very sharp on the edges. I cut myself on it as I was toweling off. The last thing I will say is that the staff here are very inviting and polite. It was so nice to be greeted so warmly each time we returned. If you stay here, I highly recommend eating right up the road at Smokey’s BBQ. It was incredible!!
