This property has amazing views, is right above the beach and beach club, but it’s 20 minutes from town and there was no WiFi.

Isolated
Got the room because it says close to ferry. You have to hike and take a bus or both. No transportation service available other than a bus stop 20 meters away. Nice place with a view, not centrally located. Have your transportation planned prior and don’t rely on the ferry.

The views are spectacular. The personnel very kind with limited english. The fact that I traveled with grown kids and only one key is provided and one has to climb 80 something steps up and down to open the door for them to come in the hotel is interesting. One gets accustomed to walk around 1.8 km to reach the beautiful town. We did have a wonderful time, and understandingly the summer is a very active time of the year. It is a clean place in a beautiful area limited by space and its geography, i would recommend it.

2/10 Poor

This property blatantly misrepresents its rooms on Expedia by using pictures of the "suite" for the double room we purchased. We chose this hotel because the pictures of the rooms looked great. We were surprised to be given a tiny, dark prison cell of a room that looked nothing like the pictures. The shower is so small I could barely fit in it. The bed is terrible. When we asked about the room appearing different than the pictures, we were told we could have the "suite" for an additional $100 Euro per night. It turns out this "suite" is the room shown in the pictures for the double room we purchased. When we asked management they said the owner was not on the property and there was nothing they could do about it. We later found out this was the owner Felix, lying through his teeth in order to not refund us. We left the property immediately because Expedia chat said not to worry, they would take care of it for us. It turns out that was not true either, after fighting with them for hours we got a partial refund. The owner refused to refund anything. This place is a scam, avoid at all costs.

Friends trip
Nice hotel about 1km from Positano. The guy who greeted us put us right off the place though, trying to charge us 50 euro for off road parking and also tried to get us booked in to a positano restaurant ran by his friends. Also requested cash payment for the room extras and appeared very upset when we paid by card. Shame because aside from his aproach, it would have been a really nice stay.

Absolutely magical experience!
I have only the best things to say about La Maliosa! I stayed here with my boyfriend for 5 nights on our first trip to Italy, and it was the best introduction to Italy we could have asked for. As soon as we arrived, the host greeted us with peach iced tea, and even though it was technically after lunch hours, they asked us if we were hungry and cooked us up some delicious pasta. Throughout our stay, the hosts were very attentive and always available for questions or if we just wanted an afternoon cappuccino. They were so lovely! Our room was great, with a nice private courtyard and an incredible view of Positano. Sitting on the patio, it practically feels like you're on the water and it felt so cozy and peaceful. If you're looking for a luxurious hotel experience with lots of amenities, this might not be for you, but for us it was absolutely perfect. Way more affordable than the expensive hotels in the center of Positano, and nice and quiet! The walk to and from the center village really wasn't too bad (we did it 2x daily), and we joked that it was good cardio for us to work off all the delicious carbs we were indulging in! I'd definitely stay here again and I'm so grateful to the hosts for providing us with a comfortable and wonderful stay. Thank you!

Amazing views and very pretty. Quiet and enjoyable if you are looking for a quiet vacation or work remote place. The room is clean and the staff is friendly, the location is about 25 min walk to the city of Positano or you can take a bus or an overpriced taxi to town. It's also about 250 steps from a private beach and a very overpriced beach club. Overall had a great time.

We loved the view from out bed and breakfast. It was quiet and relaxing. The hostess Anna is AMAZING! She helped book our taxis, reservations to resturants and shuttles to the resturants recommended by the b&b. She always let us know when pur car service was there. Breakfast is included here. They offer lunch which you pay for when you check out. The food was delicious and homemade. The mini fridge is fully stocked with water, soda, beer, wine, prosecco, limoncello, orange juice and aperol spritz. Whatever you drink from there you also pay at checkout but the prices are pretty affordable. We can get to a beach straight from the b&b you have to walk down about 200 steps but its beautiful and people pay 600,000 Euros to go there. You're about 18-20min walk from the Positano main area. There are many shops and restaurants thatare delicious. We tried 2 out of the 4 resturants recommended from the b&b which were also amazing...La Gabrisa and Da Constatino. We also ate at La Combusa and Don Giovanni which were also amazing. The b&b also provides beach towels for 5,00 euros which was amazing. She

Very nice property. As in all of Positano, many stairs to reach the beach area. Staff was very helpful. As it is about 20 min walk outside Positano and far from restaurants, I highly recommend using the free dinner shuttle that La Maliosa has with 3 different restaurants. The restaurants are all pricey in this area, but you do not want to add on 2 one-way fares for taxi service which can be 30-35Euro each way. Taxi service is very expensive in this area and bus service is completely overcrowded. For a quiet get away in a beautiful area, La Maliosa is a very good bed and breakfast.

The room was small for the price we paid, it said sleep 4 but definitely max 3 people can make it. The area outside is full of mosquitoes and the breakfast is served only from 7:30 to 9:30, we hurried to have breakfast and 2 of the boiled eggs we opened where completely rotten.

The hotel itself is a bit far away from the main part of Positano, it’s above Treville actually as we saw the water taxis below. Host Anna was amazing and greeted us upon arrival. She was so lovely and helped us with booking cars during a busy high season (which was needed to get back/forth from town approx $30-40 p ride), helped us speak to local restaurants about reservations and also was just awesome in general. We used a local boat company she recommended for our private boat tour. We did not interface much with other staff but they were also friendly enough. Anna was our main person we felt connected with and she was also the friendliest. The hotel itself is charming but definitely a more on the dated side. The fountains on the grounds did not work, the lounge chairs did not have any cushions or covers on them. For hotel rooms the pillows could use a replacement as the batting inside was matted and not fluffy (which is why some friends I know being their own pillows on trips) and same with the bedding and sheets. Everything was super clean though and the inclusive breakfast spread was lovely. After we checked out they said we owed a 3euro pp charge per day (asked for us to pay in cash) which is not much but it would have been great for that to be charged when we booked? So what we would have left is just any incidentals? We wanted to share a tip with Anna directly at check-out for being so helpful during our stay but we didn’t see her prior to our 6:30am car pick up.

The highlight of this property are the views and the hotel grounds! Breakfast views and views from the front of the room are extraordinary. Staff is very kind. Room is pretty basic and you can often hear neighbors but I really didn’t mind. It was a unique stay. It is a bit out of town from Positano (which I liked for the peacefulness). It’s about a 30 min walk to the harbor and 15-20 mins of that is on some hairpin turn roads thst can be a bit scary to walk on because of the close cars if you’re not used to it (all the locals do it though). Only thing I didn’t like was that there were no instructions for the safe and when I asked I was given the code to open it but couldn’t customize the code which kind of defeats the purpose. The property felt extremely safe however
