The castle just recently opened up for individual stays (had been only available to venue hire out in the last year)...and thankfully it did. Our room was wonderfully plush, every detail thought of and impeccably decorated and clean. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Every inch of the property is gorgeous...can't say enough about it.

Fabulous little find. I booked not realising standard rooms shared the main bathroom. When I arrived it was no problem to upgrade.
Breakfast was delish and staff were very attentive.
Would definitely recommend this stunning Guest house

A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

Stay in hotels great but check in and difficulty establishing our booking was stressful and disappointing. Staff did all they could but the buck stops with Hotels.com and taking money then another provider getting cash! Total break down in relation to booking

Only disclaimer is that this is a review about a budget-mid-price hotel. All the ravings probably don't compare to a hotel that costs £££ per night. Other disclaimer: I was given the Lomond Suite, in the older part of the hotel; everything about the room relates to that specific room and be. That said...
This is the best hotel I've been to all year (it's mid-December and I travel a few times a month)

The staff at the hotel couldn’t do enough to make sure you had everything you needed and were super friendly. The hotel had great amenities and although there was a wedding going on it wasn’t too noisy! The room seemed very clean apart from a rogue make up sponge that was lying under the desk.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Glasgow
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Glasgow is during January, October, and November, when hotels may offer lower prices on a budget. For a comprehensive experience of Glasgow's rich history, cultural landmarks, and artistic venues such as museums, art galleries, theatres, live music spots, guided tours, local dining establishments, and monuments, it is recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days. This period offers great value for money, ensuring that visitors can enjoy a range of budget-friendly attractions related to landmarks, history, and culture.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover savings on your trip to Glasgow by exploring the Dealsopens in new window section on Hotels.com, which offers discounted hotel options. For those planning a last-minute escape, the Last-Minute Deals area could present opportunities for reduced rates on nearby accommodations. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you’re more likely to see favourable offers when prices drop or rooms become available. Stay alert for updates by enabling email alerts or push notifications to ensure you never miss a chance to save.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary due to factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Glasgow hotel. For those interested in distinctive experiences, boutique hotels may offer a more personal touch and occasionally present better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more attractive deal.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Glasgow's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
