It was a very good cheap option on our visit to Disneyland and Disney sea . It was exactly what we needed . Two beds and a restroom for very cheap price compared to everything else around. Beds were rough tho

Pros: -Location, 500 yen taxi to the train station, and Disney shuttle 5 min walk down the street with about a 10 min drive to destination. -Close to convenience stores (Family Mart/Lawson's) and restaurants across the street (Royal Host restaurant was the most prominent). -Free breakfast and it was pretty decent - it included: eggs (fried or hardboiled on plates for self-serve), rice, miso soup, cereal, fruit, curry sauce, assorted breads, coffee, and milk/water/orange juice. This was enough to get full in the AM. Relatively small eating area, it can fill up fast depending when you eat. -Inexpensive compared to typical Disney/Tokyo rates -Attentive staff, they moved our room immediately after the smell issue, brought us an iron and ironing board when requested, and gave us 2 extra pillows free of charge. Room cleanliness was good. -Internet was pretty fast, around 60mb/min Cons: -Room is small and this is an older hotel. Everything from the exterior, to the interior carpet, beds, walls etc. I would not consider this "quaint", but did remind me of older small-town Motel-6s. -Smell - being next to the aluminum plant/factory/shop, it was a daily dose. -No elevator. Granted this place was only 3 stories. you have to go up the entrance stairs to check in lugging your suitcases up and down the stairs, and then to your room. -No outside or side entrance, only the main entrance. -Not a lot of room for laying out suitcases. We luckily only brought 1 big one for all of us, and we

Hotel that covers all your basic amenities!
This is a fine little hotel, close to a bus station that provides a shuttle service to Disneyland and Disney Sea. I was able to get by without having to head off to a supermarket or convienience store, and even if I did need to, both were within walking distance. If you want to save a bit of money while visiting the Disney parks, this is a great spot!

Nice hotel, close to train and Disneyland
This hotel is not for travelers accustomed to large rooms. This was a small room with the beds close together and not much room for multiple suitcases. We didn't mind though because we were not visiting Tokyo to stay in our room. The free breakfast and staff were amazing! We would definitely return for both of those alone!

The room was a bit small, but overall the service and stay was completely comfortable, and we were satisfied. The train station isnt too far away, and can easily be walked to as well. I would stay here again if I went back.

Survivable if it's your last choice
The rooms are not the cleanest. The beds are uncomfortable. Breakfast is OK, not the best but OK. The bathroom had a gas smell in it. Mold in the shower. The staff are excellent and very accomendating as much as they can be. However, because of the state of the hotel room, I would have switched to another hotel the first night if I could have but was not allowed to without expensive penalties because I booked all 4 nights ahead on hotels.com.

Close to Disney Resort, and inexpensive
It's a 10-minute walk to a JR station, the next one over from Maihama, the Disney stop. The hotel itself is nice, with reasonable breakfast selections included. Be warned that the rooms are small (not a rare thing in Tokyo, for the record) and you need to climb a set of stairs to get to the front desk.

Small but acceptable
Room for 3 adults was tiny (as I expect most rooms here would be). We only stayed 2 nights and was just for sleeping, so it was suitable for our stay. Free breakfast was not lavish, but basic continental. Not bad for the price of the room. 15 min walk to Kasairinkaikoen station. Taxi to Disney Resorts approx 1700-2000 yen (3 people)

A nice hotel near TOKYO attractions
First, the reservation and booking process are very easy. Second, the hotel location was very accessible and have many means of transportation. Third, i will give the highest grade for the service and staff particularly on the first night when we check in. She already knew my name without asking (maybe she recognize the 3 person reservation) and also for the tips on how can we go to nearby places. Thank you! 4th, breakfast was good and unlimited.. we have some energy to start the day. 5th, room and facilities are very good. We really enjoy our stay in your hotel. Thank you very much! and we hope to book to your hotel someday! [Arigatou gozaimashita)

Would not recommend
They do not speak any English. The breakfast was not very good unless you want to eat only bread. Was a very small room. Did not have cribs. Did not have any appliances in the room. Had to always turn in the key when you left the hotel for any reason. Could not figure out how to work the tempostat unless you knew Japanese. I would not recommend this hotel for foreigners. Was a 17 minute bus ride to train station and bus to airport.

Small but neat.
The room is small even we booked for a 3 person room. The size is the same as a 2 person room just that the sofa was converted into a bed. Little space to maneuver 3 people in the room. The breakfast is o.k. but gets boring with typical Japanese food. The staff is polite though. The train station is about 1.3 km away.

Very disappointed
Hello We booked the family inn and resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was very nasty and moldy. Carpets stained not only in room but hallways also. Mold smell was overwhelming.could not breath to sleep and made me stuffy. We arrived from a 3 hour flight then 2 hour train ride at 11:32 pm. we could not cancel nasty hotel because we paid up front before arriving. Could not find another hotel Because it was so late when we arrived and would have had to travel by foot 2.3 km to try to get another hotel because at that time buses not longer run and taxi would have been ¥17,000. Clerk could not understand much English so we could not ask him to get us cab even if we left that night. We are very disappointed. We paid $287.00 for two nights but checked out the next morning and got another hotel for next night. All together we paid $790.00 for your hotel listing and the new hotel we had to find at last minute. I will not be using your site recommendation again. You obviously do not send representative to hotels to check condition when you recommend them. I am sure that family inn and resort fiftys mihmara Tokyo could verify we left keys for checkout the next morning and did not stay the next night. Leah and Philip McCullough

Great base for Disney
We wanted somewhere to stay whilst we visited Disneyland and we were on a tight budget so chose the Fiftys resort as we felt it represented great value. It is only 2 bus stops away from Disney or a reasonable taxi fare at 1500 to 1800 Yen. We arrived before check in on the first day and left our things with reception and were able to go to Disney and explore the hotels until we were able to check in. The room was a little small and dated but this is Tokyo where most rooms are small and the dated aspect is reflected in the price. We slept well all nights and it was very quiet. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice of pastries, toast, noodles, soup and cereal amongst other things. Tea and coffee were free all day. Wifi was a little slow at busy times but ok most of the time. Customer service was great. Reception were so lovely. I was sick and they helped me find an English speaking doctor and wrote down the instructions on how to get there in Japanese and English. Air con worked well.

Close to Disneyland
Good location for Disneyland, walk took us about 30 mins, breakfast is ok, room was tidy but bathroom could have had a bit more attention paid to it in terms of cleanliness. Overall a good budget hotel within walking distance of Disney.

Horrible
The only positive thing about this hotel is the proximity to Tokyo Disney, however I would recommend staying somewhere else. The room was terribly small, we had a pack and play for our toddler and with that setup we were barely able to move around. The bathroom light didn't work for two days despite being "fixed" by the staff so we had to take showers and go to the bathroom in the dark. The door knob on the bathroom door was falling off, there was a lot of mold in the bathroom, and the bed was hard as a rock. I wanted to leave the first night but their cancellation policy is very strict. In order to get a full refund, cancellations must be made 4 days in advance. This is probably because they know how horrible their rooms are. Stay here at your own risk. Also, there is a family mart within walking distance but that is it. Do not expect to find restaurants or cafes anywhere close to here.

6/10 Good

The double room we were staying into was pretty small, so it was quite challenging to move around as the beds and the baggages leave literally no space to move around. The air in the room was quite heavy to breathe, even when returning in the room at the evening, but this was most probably due to the renovation process the hotel was undergoing. Reaching the city center with public transportation takes a while, as the closest metro station is about 1km away from the hotel and from there it takes about 20' to reach Tokyo station. Anyhow, a bus station to reach the station is available in front of the hotel, which really reduces the overall transfer time. Good continental breakfast, with a decent amount of options. Overall, the hotel and the stay was fine.
Verified Expedia guest review

2/10 Poor

NOT recommended.
The hotel is in poor condition and it's smelly. The rooms were extremely old and stains everywhere. Even milky white stains on the beds. Everything smelled old and musty. The internet picture of beautiful sparkling rooms is so old it's false advertising. The breakfast as not very good. The old hot water pot for tea was falling apart. Little bits of the interior finish of the lining of the pot fell into my cup. I looked across a room full of tourists drinking tea and it occurred to me they could be getting hurt. The first staff I told - in good Japanese language - said, "oh it's okay!" and kept working. The second person I told took it away immediately. I filled my belly on croissants (how can you screw them up) and we left.
