The rooms were very dirty. We were actually "upgraded" to a small room with balcony. We stayed for two nights, the first day there was 37 degrees in amsterdam, and the room had no form for airconditioner og cooler. We had to have the balcony door open at night. The bathroom is really small and with no light besides from in the shower. The staircase to the room was very steep, i dont think you could get a suitcase up there. The location of the hotel was very convenient, so if thats all you need this is the hotel. Noisy at night and from 6 o clock cause of road work.

If you can avoid booking this hotel. It's terrible

It is an old Amsterdam building and it is fine but there is no elevator and the reception is in another building nearby. Carrying the suitcase up to the fourth floor was traumatic. The stairs are very narrow and there is no one to help. I am 66 years old and I travel alone. The room was very small, impossible to close the window was blocked. The bed was rather hard and narrow, there is absolutely no room to move. Overall the room and the small bathroom were clean apart from the smell of mold that is throughout the building. I strongly advise against those who need a minimum comfort. You will not find any here. I stopped for only 1 night, more difficult to resist. Also the price was in line with other much more comfortable hotels. I had a terrible time

No elevator, narrow and long stairs, the place was not clean, I booked the place because it was affordable but not worth it. Go spend a little more money and stay at an average hotel but not here

Not for solo travelers

This hotel is off the streets through a very narrow set of steep and long staircases. Overall look is very dark and sketchy. I’m not completely sure if this is normal in the area, but definitely wouldn’t recommend to solo travelers. There was a chewed gum stuck on the bed. I had to leave after seeing that. They never called me back or tried to contact me in any way.

We did not stay at this hotel, we had to go to another hotel. Just to go to the lobby was an ordeal. The stairs were so steep and dangerous and then they expected us to go two more floors ups the stairs with the luggage where your feet does not feet on the step. We never got to see the rooms.

Var beredd pĂ„ vĂ€ldigt branta, smala trappor upp till rummen. Även till receptionen i systerhotellet dĂ€r man checkar in. Hotellet Ă€r gammalt och vĂ€ldigt slitet. Jag hade dubbelrum med balkong. Rummet Ă€r grundstĂ€dat och lakan och sĂ€ng (gammal) Ă€r frĂ€scha men övrigt vĂ€ldigt slitet. Ingen sĂ€nglampa, spegel i badrum gammal och sliten. Ytskick sjunger pĂ„ sista versen. Men om du bara har behov att sova och ta en dusch sĂ„ funkar det. LĂ€get Ă€r bra.

Stayed for kingsday, location was great close to everything we needed. Stairs with no elevator, which we knew, but very steep stairs. Not for old people or heavy bags. dusty in the room and also noticed some bugs. I hope it wasnt bed bugs. need some renovatons and rough cleaning. the standard wasnt great very basic hotel. U have to check in down the street which was fine but also alot of stairs to the reception. Luckily one of us could stay down on the street so we didnt have to carry them up twice.

FUYEZ !!!!! HORRIBLE

un hĂŽtel catastrophique..! j’ai rĂ©servĂ© pour 3 nuits une chambre « sans vue » et Ă  ma grande surprise nous sommes arrivĂ©s dans une chambre sans fenĂȘtre ! ce n’était pas prĂ©ciser dans l’annonce..! De plus, sur le site la chambre rĂ©servĂ© avait une photo de chambre qui ne ressemblait pas du tout Ă  la rĂ©alitĂ© ! Nous avons Ă©tĂ© accueilli par la responsable (apparement) qui n’était pas du tout aimable lorsque nous sommes rentrĂ©s dans la chambre une forte odeur de canalisations (Ă©gout) Ă©tait prĂ©sente et Ă©tait insupportable, nous avons alors demandĂ© Ă  la dame de l’accueil de faire soit quelque chose pour l’odeur ou alors changer de chambre car comme il n’y avait pas de fenĂȘtre donc on ne pouvait pas aĂ©rer pour enlever l’odeur..! elle n’a rien voulu savoir et a Ă©tĂ© extrĂȘmement sur la dĂ©fensive et ne voulait rien faire pour nous Ă  part changer de chambre en nous faisant payer un supplĂ©ment de 300€!!!!! une honte de faire dormir des personnes dans une piĂšce de 14m2 sans fenĂȘtre et qui sent les Ă©gouts ! À la fin du sĂ©jour, nos vĂȘtements sentaient les canalisations !!! De plus, la chambre n’était pas propre (poussiĂšre +++, cheveux..), la douche n’est pas confortable (trĂšs petite, rideaux qui colle car pas assez d’espace), aucun article de toilettes comme mentionner sur l’annonce. Je dĂ©conseille fortement cet « hĂŽtel » qui n’est pas selon moi un hĂŽtel, aucune luminositĂ©, escalier extrĂȘmement pentu et petit (prendre des petites valises). Le seul point positif est son emplacement sinon fuyez!

I wouldn’t book it it again. Here is why
 - It is not cheap, compare to what it is - Very small room and bathroom. - Some of the sheets had stains. - Beds were sunk down. - The bathroom light doesn’t turn off, so it is on all the time. - The bedroom had an interesting smell - The wall are super thin. The person next to us had at least 3-4 hour call in the middle of night and you can hear everything. Luckily he checked out on the next day.
