The hotel itself was quite nice. The lobby area was a fun hangout place being so colourful and including a lot of fun stuff like a pool table, bar, and coffee/snack area. The staff was fantastic and so very friendly and helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The real issue was with the physical location of the hotel.
During our stay, we could hear loud music from across the street well into the night, then were awoken at some point in the night to a number of police sirens and cars screeching in to the same area across the street. This did not inspire a feeling of safety, and I really needed a good nights sleep as we were driving all day the following morning.
Maybe we were simply unlucky since it was just one night, but other reviews seem to chronicle a similar experience. Unfortunately I needed a room near the Magnolia Silos that I could afford and this was the only one available. Next time I come to Waco I would consider another hotel if it was available and affordable.
