We checked into our room at about 4:30pm, noticed both beds looked like they were slept in and then made. There was dog hair, human hair, and a little brown stains on the bed linen. The table had drink and food stains. The TV wasn't working. We called the hosts and didn't get a response; realized instructions stated that texting would get us a quicker reply. So we texted with an explanation of the issue, and someone texted back within 5 minutes to say they would be sending the house keeper, and another person to fix the TV. They said the house keeper would get to the property within 1.5 hours, and we would be informed once they got a hold of the TV person. My partner and I decided to go out for food thinking that by the time we got back, the issue would either be resolved, or close to it. When we got back 2hrs later, we realized no one had came. I reached out to the host again by text and was told the housekeeper was on the way, but they couldn't get ahold of the TV person. We waited patiently for about another hour or two, feeling quite uncomfortable, unable to watch TV, unwilling to sit / lie on the bed. Again, i texted the host. By now, it was after 9pm and we were tired. I decided to ask if we could get another room before this grew into frustration. The host called me, told me there was a similar room available 2 doors down, and we changed our room. Koodos for resolving, but I'm surprised it wasn't offered. Still, the property is beautiful, peaceful, affordable.
