Beautiful hotel
We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. We stayed here the night we got engaged which felt even more special. The room was so clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a gorgeous unexpected balcony which suited our morning coffee perfectly! Our only gripe was that we were told at the front desk that both restaurants were open and only one of them was; however the more relaxed restaurant that we ate as was lovely and good value. We stayed here on a Thursday night and not many restaurants around the area were open on a Thursday for any fellow travellers!

Perfect Mix of Wilderness and Action
We stayed in a suite with a full kitchen overlooking the slopes and it was awesome. Our only complaint is that the fireplace was not real, it was one of those with lights instead of fire but we rolled with the punches and won’t knock a star just for that although we were really looking forward to real fire (it was in the 40s when we visited in November). The hotel is in a quaint town that has restaurants and there is a grocery store right next door, which makes it very easy. There is a river behind the hotel (hence the name) and a great walkway along the river. The wine in the winery is not the best but heck, when you are on vacation any wine is good. They also serve cider (alcoholic, of course!) and that was Ok but again, it is good to have that option on property. It is a great location to drive to the Kancamagus scenic road. Do the loop and go to the Omni Washington Mt. Resort. That was a very cool stop. We did dinner there and it was very expensive ($150 for 2) but we splurged and really enjoyed the grounds. You don’t need to eat there to visit. A must hike is the Sabbaday Falls.

Sehr schönes Hotel, modern eingerichtet mit ausreichend kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Sehr gut gelegen mit beheitzem Aussenpool , Restaurant und Bar. In direkter Nachbarschaft Supermarkt und Restaurants. Freundlicher Service und alles sehr gepflegt und sauber .

We came here midweek / out of season and the place felt a little bit like a ghost town. Staff weren’t too knowledgable on what the hotel had going on and it felt like a big ask asking for basic things. The room amenities on Expedia were also listed as having a washer and dryer in the room which it did not. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have encountered at a hotel. We were planning on having dinner at the hotel but felt like the way the rest of the hotel was, it would most likely be mediocre at best so decided to go somewhere within the town

Very pretty hotel with 2 wonderful restaurants and a winery. Our room was perfect with a private balcony overlooking the mountains and the outdoor pool. Would definitely stay here again! We loved it!

Very nice hotel, even though it was the off-season restaurants in hotel were nice as were the surrounding restaurants. My only problem was when I checked in it took a half hour for someone to even come to the desk and check me in, other than that. Great location.

Loved the newer bar/restaurant, pool, and all amenities! The reservation process was difficult only because I made reservations on line with Expedia and put in wrong dates. Everyone helped me correct my error and it all worked out. Mattress cover was noisy and seemed to hold body heat. Otherwise, everything was absolutely fabulous and we want to go back in the future! Felt like we were truly on a vacation.
