Unclean areas of the room
We walked in and inspected the room and took pictures as the room was not to our liking. I requested another room and they said they did not have one. There was mold and I have asthma, I did not want to stay. We had also requested additional towels and the front desk said they had none available. I want my money back I will not be returning to this hotel.

AXEL HOTELS at their worst.
The hotel looks very grand. The music by the pool was excessive and the speakers couldn’t handle it leading to constant distortion. Either turn the level down or buy better speakers. The hotel was full of straight people. It’s meant to be a LGBT hotel. We needed to leave our bags for a few hours, this is the first hotel that charges for luggage storage at $5 a bag. Total rip off and the worst axel hotel in the chain we have stayed at.

Good budget friendly option
This is a good option if location is your main priority. Close to all of the action, and easy walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, etc. It would be great to see them make some minimal investments in updating the hotel as well as the pool area. In addition, I think they should discontinue some of the offerings like the Thursday night karaoke and the additional bar that is open on the weekends, as these things only create additional noise for guests, while being enjoyed by VERY few patrons. I realize that they are trying to create a fun environment, but people come to Miami for the nightlife, not to sing karaoke in the hotel bar. Just my opinion :)

Great location, decent hotel
Great location, but rooms can really vary. I’ve had some really nice rooms here, and some not so good. Bathrooms are all tiny, and there’s nowhere to put any of your toiletries. The hotel can get a little bit noisy, but it’s South Beach, so you kinda have to deal with that. Pool area is quite nice.

Il y a beaucoup mieux (j’espère)
Tu paies le nom, l’emplacement, et la piscine. Pour le reste, un hôtel assez médiocre, vieux. Les chambres manquent des travaux de rénovation et surtout d’insonorisation. Payer un hôtel pour entendre ton voisin ronfler ou tousser la nuit et l’aspirateur tôt le matin n’est pas agréable. Il est vrai que l’hôtel dispose d’un deuxième bâtiment qui semble plus neuf. Le personnel est au top. Pour le petit déjeuner, très (très) basic. La piscine est très bien, elle donne au soleil toute la journée. À 5 minutes à pied de la plage, l’hôtel dispose des transats (pare-soleil en supplément). Pour finir, première fois de ma vie qu’après avoir passé un séjour dans un hôtel on me charge 5$ pour garder ma (1) valise. Ces petits détails donnent un pont de vue négatif aux clients.

Translation results The hotel is disappointing. It deserves a good refreshment. The photos are much more flattering than the reality. The shower is not hot enough. The food is very average and the value for money is poor. The street-facing rooms are noisy and poorly soundproofed. Music at the pool starts at 7 AM. 5 dollars to keep suitcases after check-out

Location, location, location
This hotel is expensive for what it is. You are paying for the Collins Avenue location. The Air Conditioning in my room was set too cold and I could neither turn it down or off as its controlled centrally. The hotel could not store my luggage for 2 hours when I was leaving because they are short of space, and also theres a $5 charge. When I'm paying $370 for 2 nights you want to charge me another $5? Otherwise, an acceptable stay.

Location and staff were awesome! It was sept and off season a bit so it was not very busy. The pool is fantastic and the beach is only 2 blocks away. It is a great place to stay if visiting Miami beach and/or Miami. Our only issue was the room door lock which broke twice and I was told that it was an ongoing issue. I was not happy that they gave me a room with this issue when other better rooms had been available at the time. I would recommend this hotel as overall, it was very good.
