Superb view of ocean from balcony. Cleaning was daily at your convenience. House keeping was able to facilitate requests. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Waves restaurant was a hit. Gorgeous view of beach.

Not as glamourous as I was expecting
The hotel is currently undergoing some major renovation, so there is a lot of construction going on. Not sure if this was the cause of so little staff working, but there was rarely anyone at the front desk, and the spa was closed. There was also no internet connection at all, and the tv reception in the room was terrible. It must have been a very nice place in its heyday, but it is pretty run down at this point. The views are still gorgeous however.

Good experience in Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort
Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were outstanding: we received incredible service, and they were always friendly and attentive to resolve any problems or questions that came up during our visit. The restaurant staff also treated us wonderfully; the food was good, and breakfast was especially delicious. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, and the pool area is beautiful, with a spectacular view that’s truly worth it. The only suggestion I’d make is for the hotel to consider updating the bathrooms in the common areas, like in the lobby, restaurant, and pool area, and ensuring they are kept cleaner. Additionally, it would be amazing if the pool bar could be open, at least on the weekends. Overall, our experience was very positive. I think the cost of the hotel is fair for what it offers, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great adults only hotel. But couldn’t find staff and took several hrs to get a drink. But the view from my room was to die for and the beach is less than a 5 min walk. Pools and entire property were clean. When I finally met the general manager he took care of everything. Breakfast was also great. Would definitely stay here again and again

Pros: Great breakfast(taste and options) Wonderful staff Extremely hot water Great views Really nice pools and Jacuzzi! Easy to get around Cons: Tv had 7 cable channels that were too blurry to see. Only cartoon network was clear (at an Adults only hotel. Madness) The pool bar is NOT operational. 1 staff member to service each area Overall.. It was a pleasant stay and I really enjoyed my time there but it is evident that the owners have given up on the maintainace of this property and is putting in minimum work towards it's upkeep which is really sad.

Property was not as advertised. It was very old and in poor, rundown condition. The front desk staff were very friendly and the pool was amazing, but the hot tub - not so much. The temperature in the hot tub was the same as the pool and the maintenance person refused to increase it. One of our rooms had a defective electronic door key. It took over an hour for someone to arrive to fix it. We went to dinner and when we returned the door had looked us out again. The staff had to assign us a different room. Another room had a hole in the bathroom floor; we covered it with a towel. The third room was missing a shower faucet We had three rooms (four if you count the one we moved from) and all had balconies with amazing views of the ocean. There was no restaurant available onsite for dinner, but breakfast was very good. It was fixed to order and the staff were very accommodating.

Lovely hotel
I think some other reviewers are expecting 5 star quality at this 3 star hotel. We have just stayed for three nights and had a lovely time, it’s such a shame to see this hotel so quiet as I’m sure it would be amazing with more guests and some money put into sprucing up the outside areas and bathrooms. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and clean, the sea view from the balcony is the highlight of this place though, spectacular! The breakfast wasn’t always to my taste but that’s just my preference, my partner very much enjoyed it. Air con works great, bar has a good selection of drinks and is open all day. I didn’t use the gym but my partner did and said it was very good. The ‘pool bar’ really needs sorting, it’s fine to not be open but they need to sort out the hanging off wood and black tarpaulin covering it. Waves restaurant down on the beach is lovely and very convenient for lunch/dinner - you sometimes have to walk through grafton beach hotel to get down to the beach which is fine. Overall a pleasant stay, it would be great to come again in future when more tourists are heading to Tobago as the atmosphere would be fantastic with a few more people!

The management needs to convert dark spaces along corridors where there are bat residing in the night to storage spaces or they can instal lights to ward off bats. There are clearly too many open open spaces under stairs etc that are providing habitats for these creatures.. Other than our encounter with this situation ..our stay was very good. The breakfast options were absolutely amazing...
