The room was amazing. Renovated/updated. Mattress, pillows, sheets were super comfortable. Great shower head and low-flush toilet was appreciated. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good; nice variety. The one major drawback was the noise. The person in the room next to me had their tv on ALL night long. Literally. It wasn't a problem at first; I figured they were just staying up a little later than me. I fell right to sleep. But I woke up at 2 am and could not get back to sleep. I tried turning on the fan for some white noise to drown out the tv, but you can't just run the fan by itself; can only control heater/ac by selecting a temperature. Tried earplugs I got on a plane flight, but even with a pillow over my head, still heard the tv. At 5:15 am I couldn't take it anymore. Got dressed, went out, knocked on their door, asked them to turn it down. I don't think they were aware of how loud it was; you could barely hear it out in the hall.
I know the staff can't babysit all the guests. But it's a serious problem when the one thing you expect from a hotel is a good night's sleep. Maybe invest in soundproofing for the walls in between rooms?
