The staff here are genuinely friendly, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise — both worth acknowledging.
That said, there are some significant issues the hotel should address.
The rooms and common areas feel dated and would benefit from a refresh. The bedding in particular needs attention: the mattresses sag noticeably, and the pillows are small squares filled with clumped stuffing that made a good night's sleep difficult.
More concerning, we dealt with an ant problem throughout our room — on the bathroom counter, the TV console, and even the beds. This goes beyond a minor inconvenience and suggests the hotel needs a thorough pest treatment.
Our toilet also clogged from normal use. The silver lining was that the maintenance team responded quickly and resolved it, which we appreciated.
Finally, and most importantly: when our room key stopped working (apparently a recurring issue here), the front desk issued a replacement without asking for any identification. While the convenience was nice in the moment, this is a real security gap. Anyone could walk up and request a key to an occupied room. I'd strongly encourage management to implement an ID verification policy for key replacements.
There's a foundation of good service here, but the property needs investment in upkeep, pest control, and security procedures before I'd consider returning.
