The building itself is very beautiful. However the floor is raised just at the corridor / entry area inside the room, not sure why it is there, but it means we need to lift up the luggage’s when enter, and step up every time we go to toilet. Not an issue with me (30 yro plus), but my mum (60 plus yro) did not quite like it. Our window was facing the street, viewing is nice, but one Thursday night it was so noisy outside, it kept waking me up. Hotel is not in the city centre so wasn’t sure what was the noises for. Room is quite small, which is common in Europe, bed was comfortable. There is a little supermarket downstairs which is super convenient. In term of location, in order to get to Colosseum, you need to take bus no.2 to popolo, then take the metro A, then metro B. On my day to colosseum, both metro A and B were delayed, and we panicked as we can’t get a taxi either, no one answers the taxi app. Lucky we set off earlier and made it to the tour. For people not familiar with Rome, maybe stay near the colosseum is better. For me I am happy to come back to the hotel again without my mum, I really liked the popolo area.
