I’d rather spend more…
The front desk staff was amazingly friendly, I would honestly come back just because of them… The decor inside the lobby is adorable, the decor inside the room is also slightly adorable… But here’s a list of the nuances. One, if you want to plug in the nightstand lamp or a phone charger, you have to move the nightstand away from the wall. Too, there’s like no weatherstripping around the door, so at night you’ll see a glow and you’ll hear everybody talking and going through the hallway. BRING EARPLUGS!! See pic below. 3. The shower is spacious, but it’s kind of gross… Lots of mildew in all of the grouting, especially in the corners, did not want to have myself or my son shower in there without sandals on… 4. They only provide two rough towels, a tiny bar of hand soap, and one little bottle of shampoo… on a good note, the heater worked and it had a fridge! Also, it’s in close walking distance to the fancy mall and the Hollywood stars

They have a parking lot for what you make the reservation and they gave us a ticket, that you can only take 3 minutes and the receptionist took a long time to attend us, they charge you 25 dl of parking which is crap and they rent more parking lots than they have, there were some people who paid and no longer reached parking.! The place is terrible, dirty, nothing to do with the photos on the app. The bed is terrible, and the pillows are super bad, the bathroom is super dirty.

A total dump. Go elsewhere.
Seriously, trust the bad ratings and pick a different hotel. (It will be worth the slight additional expense.) Black mold growing all around the shower, the whole place smelled like cigarette smoke, musty sheets, dingy all around, super sketchy surrounding area and terribly rude and confrontational staff. If you decide to ignore this warning, at least DO NOT prepay because you will have no recourse when you see it and want to leave after the first night. This is what happened to us: We prepaid for four nights and then arrived to find the crappy situation described above and decided not to stay beyond the first night. Cathy at the front desk immediately insisted there was no way we were getting refunded for the other three nights because we paid in advance. To her credit she offered to put us in a different room or send a housekeeper, but all the other rooms were just as bad and a housekeeper cannot do much to eliminate this kind of mold issue. When we maintained that we would leave and asked again for a refund of the other nights she became completely rude and confrontational. We ended up another hotel three blocks away that was no joke light years better for not that much more money, but alas still trying to get my money back from this utter booking mistake.

I was disappointed with the breakfast, which doesn't really exist! All you get is cereal and coffee with milk, nothing else! And the smell in the room wasn't pleasant!

This hotel is definitely a last resort stay. The walls were paper thin, there was no washcloth in the room. The bed was 2 twins out together with the thinest bedding ever. There shower was old and dirty and the parking lot its tiny and it smelled of urine when we arrived. The ONLY saving grace of this spot was the proximity to to Hollywood and the magic castle

JUST DONT!
Firstly, i apologize to past reviewers i didn't believe who rated this property so low. You were right. Hollywood VIP would have to be the worst maintained property I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The smell! Yes, it could be weed, could be years of accumulated dirt, but it does smell really bad. The "complimentary continental breakfast" consisted of Fruit Loops, milk and coffee. Luckily McDonalds is close by. The bedding and towels are so, so very old. We ended up with 5 mismatched, crumbly, lumpy flat pillows to equal one decent pillow. Overall, the hotel is just so run down and not maintained. That said, the Reception staff, Jennifer, Romeo and Eric couldn't have be nicer and more helpful. Thank you all, you have a difficult job there, but stayed professional while we aired our dissatisfaction. The hotel's only saving grace is that the location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the back door takes you to Hollywood Blv and the many well known attractions. No, we would never stay at Hollywood VIP again and would definitely not recommend you 'taking a chance' that the reviews may not be correct.

Nao recomendo
Horrivel! Viagem pela california utilizando o mesmo padrao de hoteis (valor/estrelas/localizacao) e este de longe foi o pior. Produtos de banheiro extremamente limitados, tem que pedir na recepção, pois nao repoe. Fiquei 3 diarias e nao houve arrumacao nem limpeza do quarto. Horario de checkout cobrado com afinco, sem necessidade, chegando a bater nas portas meia hora antes do horario. Batem as portas dos quartos, correria e gritaria nos corredores e ninguem faz nada… Precisei pagar 20usd pra deixar as malas após checkout.
