I stayed at Grand Paradiso Hotel in Ibiza for 3 nights, paying £624 for bed and breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Despite requesting a queen bed, I was given a room with two singles and told no alternatives were available. Sleeping in a single bed on holiday was far from ideal.
Food and drinks were overpriced for the quality and limited selection—felt more like a cash grab than guest service. The hotel’s surroundings were shabby, and the vibe wasn’t great. Poolside music was so underwhelming I had to use headphones. Guests reserved loungers early and disappeared for hours, with no hotel staff intervention.
Late checkout was another frustration. I couldn’t pre-book it “in case the room sold,” and was told it would cost €30 per hour if available—€60 for two hours felt excessive.
On the positive side, the hotel is well-located near the #9 bus to the airport and close to a supermarket. The pool is nice, loungers are comfy, towels are provided, and breakfast was decent with good variety and proper-sized cups at the juice machines.
The standout was the staff—friendly, professional, and clearly hardworking. I originally booked Hyde but switched to Grand Paradiso. In hindsight, I regret it. Despite a few good points, the hotel doesn’t offer value for money, and I wouldn’t stay again.
