This is a beautiful old-worldish hotel in a great location. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, and the walk-out-your-door convenience to shopping, the arts district, and the Plains of Abraham park make all activities convenient and easy. It is also walk-able to the old city. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous, with great cheeses, breads, coffee. So much nicer than the more contemporary hotels.
The rooms are small, and being placed on the 3rd floor with our old border collie was a little tough. We were also charged $30/day for him, rather than the $30 total (we stayed for 4 days). I didn't argue about it, but it would have been nice if they had split the difference given I was told he would be $30. We also paid for parking ($20/day) which I would recommend, since parking is tight in this amazing neighborhood.
