We had higher hopes for this property. I'll start with the negatives. But before I do that, I will say this is an old hotel. The elevators are old and small. The rooms are basic. All of the hard surfaces felt dirty, and the second and final night that we were there are room smelled as if the sewage had backed up. There's a constant sound of a blow dryer running, and there's a constant sound of running water. Don't no source for either could be found. We had thought that breakfast was included with the price only to find out that it was not and we had to pay when we were checking out. Not a deal breaker, it could have been communicated better.
We expected that the pool would be able to accommodate more than three people, or that we would be able to do laps in a lap pool. Again this is an older property, to the fact that they had a pool at all was a good thing, although we didn't use it because it was already at maximum capacity with a few people in it.
Let me share some of the positives about this hotel. The location to the main tourist street, las Ramblas, is excellent. The view from the rooftop deck is stunning, and the staff was nice.
