Excellent and convenient stay in central Osaka

Very nice, new hotel. Excellent location - very close to Osaka station, and to Time Out market with many excellent restaurants, also close to the Umekita square / park. We are very happy with this hotel and felt very comfortable. There is also laundry machines and vending machines inside the hotel.The breakfast is quite expensive but other options in the close area are easy to find. In the same building are various shops and also a large spa with many varieties of japanese hot springs. You can buy a ticket with reduced price through the hotel. Separate sections for men/women. Also outdoor pool for additional fee.

There was a 10% discount at the restaurant on the 5th floor for those staying in the hotel, but when my father had dinner there, the staffs didn't give him the discount. He presented his room key, but still was charged at full price. When I got back to the hotel, I went to talk to the manager on duty and we got the price difference back. The manager stated that it was a misunderstanding, because my father spoke only English, and their staffs are not proficient enough to understand him. I spoke to the manager in Japanese and got this settled. The staffs' foreign language proficiency is disappointing. If you don't speak Japanese, I suggest you consider staying in another hotel.

It was a great hotel, but my only complaint is that catching taxis, especially Go was not convenient. Having to walk to the Ongate Corner of the Osaka Station was not great, especially in the summer heat. There were very few Affordable breakfast venues near hotel that open before 8/9. The walk to the Midosuji line was a bit far.

Nice and new hotel, but somehow left me confused about what it wanted to be. Exclusive, but self service all over. Cool breakfast restaurant, but you have to wait in a line for coffee. Booked a room for four persons, but it just two towels. Cleaned the room, but did not take out our empty plastic trash. Unfortunately, our visit left me with an impression that the hotel could not live up to itโ€™s own expectations.

As this hotel is newly open recently, the room was clean and tidy, the location is moderately close to railway station. However, the communications prior to arrival was no good. I sent 2 emails and 2 online inquiries through website before the day of check-in (the earliest piece of inquiry was sent around 5-6 days before arrival), and they sent their first and the only email reply at around 6pm the day I check-in to the hotel. In the email they apologize with "We have a lot of message". This means that the back office staff had no intention to communicate with customers further, once the customer's payment was collected.

Two nights in Osaka. The worst service I could imagine. Inconvenient, one elevator to fifth floor lobby. Then a different elevator to room. No sign in front to indicate hotel. Great breakfast buffet but staff is not helpful. Staff would not call for taxi. Sends you down the street to taxi stand. Any other hotel could not be worse than this one.
