Where do I begin? Staff, service and room was great. Beautiful hotel with room was spotless. They've only been open for 2 months. They were not prepared for this weekend with the volleyball tournament going on and the Marathon Health and Wellness Expo. There were poor directions and signage so the people for the convention center were coming through that hotel's entrance which caused a major gridlock approaching the hotel as well at the hotel. Since there is no self parking (only valet) you could not get your car or even get back to the hotel. I ended up paying to park across the street because after 1 1/2 hours, I gave up on trying to get to the entrance of the hotel. There were very short staffed and the valet workers were doing the best they could but they were very disorganized. One guest said her keys were lost for 5 hours.Check-in took over 30 minutes. I mentioned I may need to stay an extra day but wouldn't know until the next day and hope they won't sell out. The front desk agent told me "we have 811 rooms. It's hard to sell us out." I tried all day Saturday to go to the front desk but every time I did, the line was wrapped around in the lobby. The phones in the room do not call directly to the front desk. Of course, when I went early Sunday morning to extend my stay I was told they were sold out. This was definitely a weekend when all hands needed to be on deck (higher ups). It was very clear the staff had very little direction and overwhelmed. Very frustrating.
