Moldy!
Floor in bathroom was separated/cracked. There was mold in the bathroom and the whole room smelled musty. We only had one set of towels and no blankets. AC did work well.

They should have dimmed the lights
I know Motel 6 is a budget motel but I truly just wanted a clean and quiet place near the airport to stay after a 2am arrival into Fort Lauderdale. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 only because (aside from a neighboring dog barking like crazy as my wake up call) it was quiet overall and I got some sleep. It pains me to write a negative review but this was truly the grossest hotel I’ve ever slept in (and there was that one time I crossed the border on a whim at age 19 and spent a night in Tijuana!) 😂. I could continue with descriptions but I’ll attach pictures instead. Also, at the airport my flight was delayed by several hours so I first tried messaging in the afternoon via the hotels.com app but got no response so I tried calling the hotel directly to confirm I wouldn’t lose my reservation and no one answered- as in EVER. I called the desk probably 8 total times between 1:00 am and 2:15 am and the last calls were when I was standing outside the lobby waiting to check in. Someone in line ahead of me started pounding on the glass and finally someone came. A few highlights- -no remote for TV -smoke alarm removed with a post it note taped in it’s spot -upon check in, “our pool is closed for repairs” -two pillows, one pillowcase -the mattress pad was so gross I could see pet hair and stains through the white sheet -the bathroom wreaked of urine so strongly I actually gagged Positive- -woman in office was not rude when I checked in -quiet overall for sleeping -I had a hot shower

Find another place.
The first red flag was checking in. The desk area was locked up and I had to talk with the front desk clerk through a window. She was nice. People in the lobby using the microwave-I smelled like their food. The walk to the room was grimey. No big deal they just need to powerwash the stairs and walkways. The outer room door was very shabby. Got inside and the room looked like the picture on Hotels.com. Upon closer inspection it was not in the best shape. The curtains, walls and floors had black marks everywhere. Floor was sticky dirty. I wore my flip flops anytime I had to walk. The walls were patched horribly. I feel like this room was a long term stay for a local. I felt like I was going to fall through the tub. I asked to changed rooms because of the smell but the other room smelled the same so it must have been their cleaning products. I do not recommend staying here.

Gross and neglected Motel 6
This was the worst experience ive ever had at Motel 6. I already reserved cause it was minutes from my business trip. The room was not clean. I had to go buy my own cleaning supplies to clean. The shower curtain had mildew and grime. Had to mop the floor. The ice machine did not work. No toilet paper and had daily issues getting clean towels. The staff was not at all helpful. I will never stay again at a Motel 6 a d ill tell this story to anyone that will listen

Not really safe
We’ve stayed in some sketchy places but this one probably took the cake. Junkies hanging out around the hotel, bathtub water was brown, faucet hanging off the wall. Towel and pillow for one person. It was clean-ish? But wouldn’t feel safe keeping my family here again.

Motel to be avoided
One threadbare bath towel and one threadbare hand towel hanging on the bar, one bar of Irish Spring Soap on the sink,, had to ask for another bath towel, then I saw the bath tub, did not shower that night., no blankets just multiply sheets, looks like homeless people live there , in the morning there was a couple walking around the parking lot feeding the ducks,that would just about jump you looking for food.. Bad Choice, they put us all the way around the back. could not wait to get out....drapes did not close all the way....nightmare....
