The hotel was beautiful and centrally located. The only ‘downside’ was that the hotel says they have laundry available, but they really do not. The front desk person told us the washer and dryer are free to use, but it turns out the dryer does not work at all. Besides that we really enjoyed the stay.

Unfortunately not happy with my supposedly last day staying 3/26 through the next day. The electricity was gone around 5 the guy at the receptionist told me they were trying to fix it won't tale long. Two hours past and nothing I ask him what happen if the electricity doesn't come back. He say yes it will they working on it with some company. But funny

Great stay
Good morning since I arrived everyone from the general manager Miguel, Paola and James the receptionist were so nice and welcoming. The place is very clean and cozy. I would definitely come back here the rooftop is very nice as well. Thank you from us.

Amazing location
We were in the 3 queen suite and it was amazing! Balcony over the street below was great. Only downfall was that the noise at night was loud from the party below. We would definitely stay again!

terrible experience
The kitchen/coffee area is self-serve. Guests are to wash their own dishes and cutlery and replace them for the next guest. There was no dish soap in evidence so how can one know if the cup you want to use is clean? The staff also used this area for coffee and that was a bit odd. The "room" was so tiny there was hardly any room for suitcases and the room door was glass with wallpaper glued on the inside, but allowed all the light from the hallway to shine in. There was no place to charge our phones conveniently and the bed was on a homemade frame with 4x4 posts for legs and a 2x6 frame too high off the floor for comfortable access. The bathroom was O.K., although the toilet seat was loose.

Do not stay in room 14
This place was very cute and quaint. However, DO NOT stay in room 14, it is the size of a closet. 63 sq ft. It should say this in bold letters where you can see it when you book. There was also mold in the bathroom. We did have family and friends stay there also and their rooms were nice. Luggage had to stay in the shower as there was no place for it. The pic was taken from the hallway by our door.

Great location, not a chain hotel (quirky)
I was here one night with my daughter - a brief stop on our way to a vacation week in Vieques. The location is excellent if you want to be able to walk to places. We took an Uber here from SJU, then an Uber out the next day. Parking seemed like it would be difficult if we had a car (we did not). The street is very pretty and the lodging is close to lots of restaurants and nightlife. We walked to the waterfront at night and it was vibrant and also seemed safe. Entertaining, great people-watching. The next morning we walked to the old gate and also to El Morro (the fort). Loved all the cats and the fort was impressive. The lodging was secure with a locked front door, and it had a nice kitchen and coffee/water available in the interior lobby. It was a little weird that the rooms (“Suites”) opened directly off the lobby, so people coming in late at night were partying/saying goodnight, etc. right outside our bedroom door. The staff were all nice and very helpful during our stay. The one complaint we had was the bathroom had no shelves for putting toiletries - my teenage daughter said it was probably “designed by a man” LOL. Also, we like to have our phones plugged in on the nightstand because we use them as alarm clocks, and there were no outlets anywhere near the nightstands in our Suite. Those two things were pretty minor, especially considering it is an old building with a lot of character and not a chain hotel. Overall great experience, and I would stay here again!

Overall we had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff there was very good with helping us when we needed it. We really liked that we could drop off our bags before check in and they locked them up and held them for us while we walked around the city. The location is really good on this popular street. Very close to everything and we walked all over the city with no problem. The hotel was nice with some very old charm to it and it was nicely decorated inside. It is an old building which is evident when you look around at everything. Its kept up well for the most part but could use some updates at a few places. We had the San Sebastian suite during our stay and it had two separate large bedrooms and a full kitchen and bathroom. A few things we noticed while there were that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear through them easily. There were some missing light bulbs here and there and a cabinet door was just velcroed on and fell when it was touched. We saw one roach in the bedroom so I wouldn't leave any food out on the floor. They also have sensitive pipes there so they say not to flush any toilet paper or other products down the toilet and instead dispose into the trash can. We didn't care for that. All things considered, we had a good time at this hotel despite it not being perfect and the location and staff were great. We would stay there again.
