The room was small but okay. However, to get to the room on the 5th floor, we had to take turns using the elevator that only fits one person or walk up the narrow stairs. On the first day, the elevator was broken so we had to carry heavy luggage up, which was uncomfortable. The reason we chose this accommodation was to have a delicious breakfast on the rooftop, but there was an issue with the rooftop so we couldn't have breakfast there and had to walk to another restaurant instead. It would have been nice if we had been informed or aware of all these situations in advance.

Finding a room to sleep 4 for our family was tough. This room accommodated a family of four pretty well but it was tight. The room is standard. There are a lot of stairs and the elevator only stops on 2 floors so be prepared for all the stairs. It is also very easy to miss when you arrive, it’s basically in an alley sort off, and we walked past it then had to go back and search to find it. The staff was helpful.

The Art Inn really is a special jewel in the heart of the city! The hotel is extremely clean, quiet and centrally located! Unfortunately during our stay there were unexpected repairs needed on the roof, but the hotel notified us immediately and offered a full refund. They then made alternate accommodations at a nearby restaurant for guests. The one down side of the hotel is the stairs! Guests on the 2nd and third floors have to walk up a very steep staircase to access reception and their rooms so be prepared to lug that luggage!

Leider wurde nicht ausreichend hingewiesen, das man bis zur Rezeption seinen Koffer 20 Stufen hinauf tragen muss. Zum Aufzug der nur über 10 weitere Stufen nach oben zu erreichen ist, kann man aber nur in den 4 Stock fahren. Wer im 3 oder 5 Stock wohnt muss das Gepäck entweder ein Stockwerk hoch oder hinunter tragen. Das Personal beim Frühstück war nicht wirklich motiviert. Ein “Guten Morgen’ war nicht zu erwarten. Die Teller waren oft schmutzig und man musste aus einem Stapel, einen sauberen heraus suchen. 4 Tage keine Abwechslung beim Frühstück. Immer das gleiche Obst, immer die gleiche Wurst. Tische standen teilweise 30-45min mit schmutzigen Geschirr auf der Terrasse.

Lovely comfy room, with very large comfy bed. Lovely roof top terrace for breakfast and evening drinks or meal. Breakfast choice was great with superb coffee and a wonderful view to the castle. Staff were friendly. May be difficult for the infirm as lots of steps up to rooms, there is a small lift but not sure how helpful it would be. The hotel is in a great central location for exploring Lisbon

Breakfast was wonderful and location is perfect. Walkable to many attractions in Lisbon. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would also recommend grabbing a drink at the rooftop bar as the view was amazing.

The property is ideally located in the heart of Lisbon. The staff were a little indifferent to our needs. Three of us sharing a room and whilst a little thing the tea and coffee was only set up for two despite asking at reception twice. We replenished our tea bags from the all inclusive breakfast only to find on our return from shopping that housekeeping had had removed them taking us back to only two tea bags for the day! The towels and bedding were clean. Breakfast was poor. Lukewarm and limited hot options particularly for the vegetarian in our group. Basically only egg for her!

There was an unexpected long flight of stairs to get to the elevator, but the staff helped get luggage to the elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with air conditioning, clean, spacious and a view of Lisboa rooftops. The rooftop deck is where the included breakfast buffet was served. We enjoyed the coffee, food and expansive view which included St. George's Castle on the high hill. The rooftop was also a great place to enjoy a drink in the evening. The location is excellent for walking up the hill for fado, shopping, dining, great views, or to the river area to catch Tram 28, a tour boat or to wander, eat and shop.

Great spot in Lisbon

This is an interesting place: a bit hidden from the street, but nicely set up. The location is great - you can walk to a lot of attractions but it's also close to the metro. The roof top restaurant/bar is great for breakfast. If you are in a room at the front, keep your windows closed as there is a lot of activity on the street at night. I had an early departure and I appreciated the breakfast box delivered to my room early.
