Little gem
A little gem of a find. About 200 yards from the tram stop. Last minute booking due to train delays when we had to change our plans. The check in was great. Fridge in the room had been stocked with iron bru, water, milk, and breakfadt cakes. Lovely staff. Would certainly use this venue again.

Not for everyone
I was using the property as a base for a two night stay. If you love your creature comforts this is not the place for you. However if you just want a bed at a very reasonable price in an historical building in a capital city this could be the place. Located close to the Port of Leith with a tram stop 200m from the property which gets you into the city centre in less than 20mins it is a great base to explore from.

The Pillars was located in a nice area with pubs and restraunts. It is close to the tram and neighborhood shops. The staff were great... they provided us with infomation on local activities, and quickly responded to any questions we had. Cosy room and a nice, fully-kitted kitchen to use Would definitely stay there again

Great play to stay
Really friendly and helpful, lots of advice about local places, and transport. It felt very safe. Good help yourself breakfast items, and nice selection in the room. Located very near the tram stop to the centre and the airport which was useful

A hidden gem
Pillars House is a hidden gem, which offers fantastic value for money in a very expensive city. I thought it would be a bit basic, but it offered much more than I expected and the en suite bathroom was a pleasant surprise. We were able to do an element of self-catering using the shared kitchen and everyone we met was very friendly. Pillars House is located close to the tram line in Edinburgh, which opens up easy access to the city.

Voor de deur van de accommodatie loopt de tramlijn, ideaal om het stadscentrum te bereiken. Binnen 5 minuten ben je in het hart van de stad. De accommodatie zelf biedt weinig luxe, staat van onderhoud is redelijk, maar àlles functioneert wel. De gezamenlijke keuken kan handig zijn als je zelf wat wilt koken of ontbijten. Wij hebben dit niet gedaan omdat de stad veel te bieden heeft. Edinburgh is zeker de moeite waard. Het kan in één dag, dan heb je wel alles gezien.
