This is a very nice city to visit. Staying in different areas each time we visited, found so much to do and see each time. We probably had over a week in total and this gave us the opportunity to use public transport in different ways too. Worthwhile

Vancouver has a lot to offer from the big parks and rides through to Granville Island which was great. The downside is the very sad and out of control drug problem around East Hastings Street, very sad version of humanity stuck on a spiral of drugs.

The city itself did not offer as many arts experiences as I was hoping for, but the dining options and the surrounding natural area were fabulous. If I go to Vancouver again, I will plan on spending more time doing outdoor activities in the mountains

Overall Vancouver is a beautiful city. I enjoyed its beautiful piers and beaches. However, some part of the city is not safe. I accidentally walked through a street full of homeless people and drug addicts. One of them even followed me for a while.

Not having been to Vancouver previously, we were pleasantly shocked by the stunning vistas surrounding the city. Add to that the food and restaurant choices reflecting every area of the world and you have the makings of an outstanding destination.

This is a great city but the homeless on the streets really is disgraceful. I've visited quite a few iconic cities around the world and I've never seen homeless and a drugs issue anything near to the problem here. They need help desperately.

Downtown Vancouver is very clean and well laid out. It's not hard to navigate. It can be a bit expensive. A seafood plate at a good restaurant will cost at least $35 Canadian. If it's a special or shell fish that cost can jump to around $85.

Vancouver at Christmas time was beautiful with the colourful decorations and lights, especially at Canada Place - the water front cruise terminal Gastown was a delight to walk through. We had an excellent meal at The Old Spaghetti Restaurant.

This was our first time back in Vancouver in 10 years and, as always, we found it to be lovely. The drive around Fraser Park is always worth the time, and we enjoyed walking along the harbor enjoying the comings and going of float planes.
"Nice room, accommodated an early check in which was really nice so we could drop off our bags before heading back out. Lots of food options around. Bus and metro stations very close. "
"My sister and I totally loved our stay at the EXchange Hotel. We were pampered beyond belief. Free bottles of water, a lounge with snacks, a Lindt store in the lobby, nightly turned down serv, and fresh cold cucumber water every night at bedtime. The staff is attentive and eager to please. They were awesome! I would highly recommend staying here."
"Liked that it was very walkable to Chinatown and Gastown areas. The room itself is clean and modern. We stayed here one night after an Alaskan cruise which ended in Vancouver. They checked all our luggage early which let us explore the city for one day before heading out. "
"The vibe here is not luxury, but it's comfortable and well-appointed. The Burrard has its own district point of view that I really dig. The location could not be better. I really enjoyed my stay and would go out of my way to stay here again."
