I'm a traveling healthcare worker who needed a place to stay temporarily until I got to know the area. The reviews and pictures on this hotel were good, but when I pulled up to the hotel I could tell what kind of place this was, and all of my coworkers and Uber/Lyft drivers confirmed it: definitely a sketchy part of town where many people use substances and escort services. BUT, I'm from a city where those types of things are normal, so I never felt "unsafe;" however, this definitely would not have been my first choice if I had known those things ahead of time. I only stayed a week before I went to a different hotel on a "better" side of town due to all the noisy people coming in and out of the building and up and down the halls (I unfortunately had a room on the first floor right by the stairwell). The room itself wasn't too terribly bad though, and the bed was fairly comfy. The staff was nice when they were available, but I felt like whenever I did need them they either weren't at the front desk or were busy helping other on the phone or in person, and it was always only one person working the counter. Super nice though. If you need a super short term stay, like a couple of days, and you aren't easily shaken by interesting groups of people, then this place is a decent stay for a decent price, and there are some food spots nearby. If you are looking for anything longer than a week, or have extra money to spend: look elsewhere.
