On arrival of our stay at Ippokampos Beachfront hotel, we were told that they no longer had a room for us as they had overbooked and that we had to stay in a different hotel, which was located behind the property. This was incredibly frustrating as this was a special trip for us and we had splashed on having a larger room with a beach/sea view, and were given a small room with no sea view. The hotel claimed they had tried to contact us to let us know, but hotels.com also had no evidence of this. It then took over three hours to resolve this issue, taking up one of our days on the island. It was incredibly disappointing and I feel it is important to leave a review so that this does not happen to anyone else!

We were in Greece for a wedding. The pictures and description of this hotel were misleading. We are not people who believe in giving bad reviews. But we will not staying there in the future. Nor will we be recommending this hotel to anyone. Not pleased at all with this property. All other propertys were outstanding. Thank you.

Bon hôtel dans l'ensemble

Hôtel sympathique, bien situé en face de la la plage et proche du port. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et le personnel de l'hôtel très aimable et accueillant. Notre chambre (studio économique) était bien mais avait quelques défauts. La chambre étant au rez de chaussée, nous entendions le bruit des évacuations d'eau des autres chambres ainsi que des bruits de chaises de la chambre du dessus. Les autres chambres n'ont probablement pas ce problème. Je recommenderais quand même à l'hôtel de rajouter des patins sur les chaises pour réduire les bruits des autres chambres.

The property is beachfront. The downside to it is if you want to use beach chairs you must pay to use. The description was a bit misleading. I did get a partial sea view on top floor. Some of the beds were not done. We had sheets left (I guess for us to make beds). It was clean and pretty close to center. Staff was very nice.

The property is right across the street from the beach, and has three restaurants within 100ft which made it very easy to walk everywhere. Also, it was such a short taxi from port and to the airport. Staff were very polite and helpful. When first arriving finding the reception desk was a little tricky but otherwise a fantastic experience.

O hotel é legal, em frente ao mar que tem o pôr do sol. Café da manhã a lá Caeté, podendo modificar uns itens, para mim foi ótimo, adorei! O quarto teve alguns problemas, mas foi solucionado pelo proprietário, que no começo foi meio rude, mas depois foi gentil. Não tem elevador, mas o staff resolveu para subir as escadas com as malas.

A True Gem!

Absolutely amazing gem of a hotel in the most amazing island in the cyclades. When we arrived we were greeting and taken right to our room with no delay. The manager was very welcoming and accommodating to everything that we asked for even with having changed plans twice. Breakfast included was fresh and healthy options daily. We had dinner here one night and the food was great. The housekeeper is amazing, on top of everything you need and the rooms are kept clean and well appointed every day. We never had to worry about towels for the room, for the beach or even supplies missing. Floors were mopped daily and the room was kept impeccable! I cant say enough good things about this place, the team and the location. It's a shame that the secret of this island and hotel will get out eventually and be exploited like some of the other islands in the cyclades.

Our family came for one week, 6 adults and 5 kids under the age of 10. When we first arrived there was a mix up with one of our rooms, due to Expedia, but the manager went above and beyond to make amends and gifted us free beach chairs, free taxis, and some other perks for our inconvenience.The staff from the very sweet cleaning ladies (who came everyday and gave us fresh towels and swept all the sand the children brought in) to Andres on the beach, to the incredibly kind breakfast staff Demetria and staff provided such good service. The breakfasts were abundant with many choices, we loved having breakfast together with the incredible beach view. The beach was clean and water was so shallow that we felt very save with our kids in the water. We are all planning our return to this wonderful location!
