Disappointed stay
Called front desk after check-in to request a bath robe. Said it was on it's way and never arrived. Live music playing in the bar area went way too late. Tried calling valet to retrieve car and was busy after multiple attempts and had to wait at drive. Never saw a hotel attendant in the pool area where "many" used towels were on lounges. Given the price of rooms, meals, drinks, and parking this stay did not meet expectations.

Perfection on the riverwalk
This was the most hospitable and friendly hotel we have stayed at in our travels. It is in a quieter area of the riverwalk which was nice. Our dogs were welcomed and loved on the whole time we were there. The room is soundproof and a perfect size/layout for a family. The drinks at the bar are delicious and nice to have a comfortable place to relax and rest between outings. The whole staff is by far the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel we have ever encountered. We had a wonderful Christmas vacation there.

Dissapointed
I am disappointed with my experience at Hotel Contessa. This was my first time staying and probably my last. For the amount of money I spent I expected more. The room temperature was very cold, when I called for maintenance I was told everyone was trying to heat their rooms and it would probably take two or more hours for the heat to kick in. The traffic could be heard through the walls as well as the other guests in the hotel. I was looking forward to a better stay because I had heard good things about Contessa, unfortunately that wasn't the case for my family and I.

Not worth what I paid
The room was decent. The window facing the river was not impressive at all from the 8th floor, may be better on the lowest floor. Toilet ran the entire two stays, which was annoying at night. We advised the front desk, it was not repaired. The mattresses are not very comfortable and the room had two full-size beds rather than two queen-size beds. The pool is not heated. The worst part was the extra cost for parking, the extremely high cost was ridiculous. I would stay again only of the total cost per night is less than half of what I paid. I would have rather paid much less and stayed at a Holiday Inn, even if I had to walk a couple blocks to the hotel.

Favorite Hotelon Riverwalk
This is by far my favorite hotel on the Riverwalk. Very clean, friendly staff, great food, great bar, comfortable seating in the bar area. Rooms are large, clean and beds aee comfortable. I just love everything about this hotel.

Not bad, but will stay elsewhere next time
It was very expensive for the quality. We’ve stayed on the Riverwalk at other hotels with better views. There is only one place to eat. It’s expensive and there are limited offerings. We could not adjust the thermostat so we literally froze and had to ask for extra blankets. Housekeeping was very very nice. The check-in procedure was messed up since there were policies and procedures were not the same as what was written on hotel.com so we ended up having an issue with checking in.
