I would go somewhere else!

Sandos eco resort looked great online. We upgraded to the penthouse suite with the hot tub on the balcony. When arriving we didn't get a good overview of the resort. Then getting to the room it was nice. But we ended up having engineering there 4 separate times to fix separate things. Then management didnt seem to care or want to move us. The water for the tub / shower were cold. Along with all of the pools and jacuzzi. They keep the water temps starting at 70 deg F. Which after getting a massage we would have liked to sit in a HOT tub to relax. The jetted tub the jets didn't work and took 30min to fill. So save your money and don't upgrade! We pick this place for tge adults only area. But there were kids everywhere. Which you cannot have any beverage by the pool or jacuzzi. The alcohol was the bottom shelf liquor. No name brands except for at the beach bar. Which then there was only one I recognized. The restaurants, most food was goid. But the buffets close to change over and there are tines you cannot get anything to eat. Also the popular restaurants you have yo make reservations for. But the only open up the reservations at 12am for the day. If you are not on right then to get reservations, you will not get reservations at the restaurants. The buffets and taco bar are walk in. The beach is really rocky! Bring water shoes to wear on the beach or go into the water. Goid points: the spa was great. Also seeing all the animals and cenote.

Decepcionante

Pésimo servicio de la gente de las barras. Hace años fuimos en pareja y como adultos y todo bien pero este año que lleve a mis hijos estuvo pésimo el servicio. La playa que tiene es imposible meterte. La logística del snack es malísima y sin variedad, no tienen a la vista ni menú de comida ni de bebidas. El restaurante de Mariscos estuvo cerrado. Al igual que el área de toboganes. Buen comentario al Gym y al Kids Club esas áreas estuvieron perfectas. El área de recepción intentó mejorar la estadía pero en general estuvo muy mal. En restaurante de especialidades solo recomiendo templo y fogo El sport bar innumdado con mil goteras. Las mesas de juegos del sport bar muy maltratadas. Muchos puntos de mejora yo no regreso.

Traveling with 4 adults and 1 child 13 yrs old. Check-in took awhile, they only had 1 person working in the expedia line we were told to go to. They sat us down and gave us the whole talk about the resorts, alot of information with the intent to sell you timeshare or massages. Rooms were the only nice thing, king size with a twin bunk bed. We were told to visit expedia activity office for excursions. We tried for first 2 days and the office was closed. 3rd day office was open but no expedia. We were told we have to call and make a reservation first, which was not told when we arrived, so we booked excursion with air canada for catamaran cruise. Big mistake, hour drive from hotel, we were told no extra fees, they tried to charge $20 person there extra, argued and won, snorkeling was rushed maybe 20 mins total to see and swim 500m, kept hearing faster rapido constantly cant enjoy. Dropped us off at beach club, bad food buffet, dirty water beach not clear, had to sit for 3 hours before they came back. Took us to isle of mujeres for hour and half to shop, it was okay nothing special, same tourist stuff at each shop. Got back and couldnt find van to go back, no signage, no person knew where, after being the last van we found it and was crowded in a small van hot and uncomfortable no ac no legroom. The restaurants at the resort required reservations except international buffet which consistantly had bland food and desserts. You have to reserve restaurant at 12:01am....

Mal servicio. Habitaciónes las dan sin revisarlas antes. Pesimas asta goteras. No cuenta con agua caliente en algunas avitaciones. Ingrese alas 5pm y me cambiaron de habitación 4 veses termine ala 1 am

The resort is beautiful. Our room was not the cleanest when we arrived but, hey, we were in a jungle. No hot water for the first 4 days and out shower flooded but we got things figured out. Lots to do on the property. Loved swimming in the cenote and the calmer pools. The main pool was a little crazy for us.

The resort was very nice. Was cool to see all the different wildlife like monkeys raccoons, kudamundi and loads of birds. My kids loved the water park which was right outside of our room. The Riviera was the best à la carte. As far as taste and serving size went. The buffet and Mexican buffet were also very good with loads of selections. Wasn't too big on the Brazilian steakhouse as we found the meat to be a bit over cooked. The pools were also nice. The beach was ok but had massive rocks so it was hard to swim. The only complaint was lack of hot water as there was some water pressure problems and no hot water. So every shower was like going in the pool., so not very comfortable for having a shower

What I didn't like was the staff members trying to aggressively sell me on their membership level of service and then asking me inappropriate questions about my family status in front of my child. Also the entire eating situation sucks and the food is only average. The guest app didn't work and no one offered to fix it for me. I reached out for help 3 times and no one followed through.

The property is ok. Our room had no working shower and an ant issue. We were told the shower would be fixed but after 2 nights nothing. Finally demanded a different room and it was much nicer all around. No ants and a shower with running water.

Mal servicio de limpieza en habitaciones, dos días sin agua caliente y 24 hrs sin agua en habitaciones. Mala atención por parte del amenisador de eventos (karaoke). Ingreso al Hotel muy tardado. Te citan en el lobby con el pretexto de darte la bienvenida y darle un obsequio a todos los integrantes de la familia, cuando solo desean venderte tiempos compartidos. Un hotel muy caro como para tener tantas deficiencias.

Hotel sobrevalorada

Desde que llegamos no fue un buen recibimiento, no bajaron nuestras maletas, el automóvil lo tuve que retirar había demasiada aglomeracion, tal ves llegamos a la hora del check in a las 15hrs , al ver nuestra molestia una señorita de recepción nos apoyo a registrarnos con recepción de select, no nos dieron información solo registro. Procuren no llegar en este horario ya que a las 3 ya no encuentras restaurantes par comer cierren a a las 3pm y el buffet habré supuestamente 5:30hrs y reales hasta las 6pm. Considero a mi opinión por lo que pagué esta sobrevalorada el hotel por lo alimentos en los buffet, y los alimentos en los restaurantes a la carta estan mejor pero difícil de reservar y solo tienes derecho si te hospedas más de 3 noches, La playa no me gustó, la caminata par conocer los restos arqueológicos qué tiene excelente. Hay personal que trata de hacer mejor tu visita en restaurantes las mascaras en el desayuno. Habitación se sentía con algo de humedad la cama, puede ser por la lluvia.

The resort is beautiful, well cleaned, the only part that they don't explain what your entitled to use, they want a 90 minutes talk to convince of purchasing a timeshare. The beach was terrible to many rocks.
