You get what you pay for
Family decided to book a last minute weekend away. Pleased that the price was reasonable bordering on cheap, but quickly figured out why upon check in. Walls were filthy, and there were bugs in the bathroom and floor, which was sticky, and the overpowering smell of weed permeated throughout the entire building. Loud conversations outside woke us up, as well as someone deciding to ride a dirt bike all over the property. The only positive thing I can think of was a pleasant staff. This was our first and absolute last time ever staying here.

Nightmare!
Upon arrival there was one person completing check ins. The other which I believe to be the Manager was just standing around. They were very rude and unprofessional and waited till we were done with the check in process to have us sign a waiver stating we could not ask for a refund if they lost power. The room was disgusting dust everywhere, piles of dust behind the bed, dirty sheets, roaches climbing on and around the microwave. We brought our own cleaning supplies and had to wipe down walls, clean the bathroom and wipe the floors with Clorox wipes. The floor was filthy! We booked a room with a fridge and microwave and they stated they could not guarantee a fridge would be in the room. Black mold in the vents and around the toilet. The hallway wreaked of marijuana and cigarettes and we booked a non smoking room. The front lobby was a hangout and the Manager was friendly with all the people just hanging around the front lobby area. I went down to request another pillow and blanket. As I was speaking to the front desk clerk who was very rude and began asking us if we had a pet with us and was refusing to give us another blanket, the Manager is asking from the back “what’s the problem” The manager came and snatched the blanket from her and brought us to the 2nd floor, gave me a balled up blanket. This is the worst service I have ever received in hospitality. I work hand in hand with hospitality on a regular basis as a state worker and this was unacceptable service.

Anywhere but HERE
Absolutely awful! We had to evacuate for the hurricane which means we took what we could get. I don’t even know where to start. If you want to check in early you have to pay $20.00. You are told you have to take your own trash out of the room or get charged $15.00. Asked for a first floor because of elderly people being unable to walk but they put you on other floors. Not to mention our room flooding in the middle of the night due to the hurricane and just being given a few extra towels. Staff walking around at 10pm the night of the storm asking you to sign a waiver that you won’t hold them responsible for any damages and if you don’t sign it you have to leave in the middle of a cat 3/4 hurricane making landfall. Not to mention the nasty German roaches everywhere. We had to go straight home and wash everything. This place was absolutely disgusting. Staff was incredibly rude, dogs barking all hours of the day because they won’t do anything about it until “quiet hours”. Pictures are VERY misleading.

Got pulled over leaving parking lot undee suspicion of attempting to purchase drugs or sex. Just in town to go to universal with extended family from out of town. Wanted an affordable place to stay, not a potential drug den or brothel. Left after only 2 hours.

First the good: The location is super convenient to Universal Studios. You can walk there from the hotel. Staff was courteous. no complaints there. The Bad: The rooms were SUPER dirty. nail clippings and hair from prior visitors on the floor, stains on the sheets. The floor was spongy like the AC unit in the room was leaking and rotting the floor. The hand held shower head was taped to an aluminum rod about 4 ft above the floor. This forced us to squat down to shampoo. Hookers, pimps and dealers hanging out in the parking lot. The ugly: The smell of weed almost covered up the smell of urine from animals and/or people. I will never stay at this location again. Visit at your own risk.

DISGUSTING
I’m not even joking if I could leave a zero I would. There is literally black mold in the rooms, dirty sheets, stains everywhere, the towels are dirty. There was literally an open used soap in the shower. I ended up buying bleach spray to clean my shower how sad is that. The smell of mildew, dog, weed, etc just permeates your nostrils… the toilet was dirty. I really was looking for a room for just the night and to be fair, would’ve rather just stayed in my car overnight. This is beyond. The floor is sticky. The walls are sticky. This is a health hazard.

Great location for universal basic clean friendly
Great location for universal studios. Basic hotel. Clean. Noisy air conditioning woke me up every time it went off the first night so suggest turning that off if you can cope with the heat. People live here I think but wasn’t an issue just something to know. Nice friendly reception staff. Was everything you expect from a 2 star hotel. Great price and great fast food eating and shops a short walk away we made use of Denny’s, chipotle, walgreens and ihop we walked yo universal from the hotel but there are buses and Ubers to use also.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I arrived about 230ish about 30 minutes before check in. They were very addiment about no check in until 3, which was fine, however when I returned back at 3 I had a complete problem with checking in. FYI so y'all know because it's not listed on any website. OVER THE AGE OF 18 MUST SHOW ID. FOR US THAT WAS HORRIABLE AS HUSBAND NOTICED ON OUR WAY TO ORLADO THAT HE LEFT HIS ID AS HE CHMAGED WALLEST PRIOP TO OUR TRIP. I FIGUERD HEY IT SHOULD BE FINE BECAUSE HOTELS ONLY REQUIRE THE ID AND CRAD FOR THE PERSON WHO MADE RESERVATIONS. HOWVEVER PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN YOU ARRIVE, THEY HAVE A SIGN POSTED HAT SAYS THIS SUCH THING. THEY ARE ACTUALLY THE ONY HOETL NEAR INTERNATIONAL THAT ACTUALLY DOES THIS. THEY CHARGED MY CARD KNOWING THAT MY HUSBAND DIDNT HAVE HIS ID. TO TURN AROUND AND HAVE TO REFUND DUE TO THE FACT HE DIDNT HAVE HIS ID. IVE STAYED HERE BEFORE AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY OTHER GUEST SHOW ID AND HELL EVEN HES BEEN THERE BEFORE AND DIDNT SHOW SHUCH INFO, SO NOT SURE WHEN THEY CHANGED THIS POLICY. YET IT WOULD BE GREAT IF MANAGMENT WOULD PROVIDE THIS INFO UNDER ALL BOOKING SITES, THIS WAS THE START OF OUR ANNIVERSARY AND IT WAS A COMPLETE MESS. I ENEDED UP BOOKING ANOTHER HOTEL AND WE ENJOYED OUR STAY ELSEWHER THE MANAGER ARGUED BACK AND FORTH WITH ME ABOUT THE FACT OF YTHEM CHARGING MY CARD TO ME WANTING A REFUND. SHE HAD A REAL STANK ATTITTUDE AND IN NOT QUITE SURE HOW SHE EVEN GOT TO BE IN A MANAGER POSITIONS.
