In town for a tournament.
Albert checked us in and was very friendly. He was welcoming and initiated small talk. In conversation, we mentioned we were in town to attend an event across the street at the convention center the next day and inquired about the ability and policy of being able to leave our vehicle parked in the parking lot during the event. (He asked for how long. We said just a few hrs - we'd be heading back out of town before the next check-in time starts. He said it should be ok.)
We went walking around downtown to explore the city and have dinner. It was nice and convenient to have so much within walking distance.
The room was mediocre - carpet wasn't the cleanest, drapes were torn, but we were only there for one night so no big deal.
The next morning, I asked the female at the desk about the parking situation to confirm. She said there is absolutely no exception and she'd charge us a daily rate of $29 for a few hrs and an overnight fee if it was any longer. I explained that Albert the night before said they can waive it if it's just for a few hrs; she said no.
We moved our car to a daily parking lot that was $7 and found the Marriott and Hilton was much closer to the event we were attending. This will be a yearly event with a group of 12+ families so this was all great to know.
