Just do it. Stay at the Delta King.
Love this floating "hotel." It's my go-to location when I'm staying in Sacramento. There's just nothing like it - with a great view of the Tower Bridge and in the middle of Old Town Sacramento, with lots of quaint shopping, a merry go round and ferris wheel nearby. This isn't just a place to stay, it's an event. Good food too.

Unique stay! Snug rooms, not a lot of staff
Tiny room that was apparently even smaller back in the day but they expanded to give each room a private bathroom. Would probably not be enjoyed by larger people as the doors and walkable parts are all very narrow. The whole place was short on staff but the few staff running the place were very helpful and nice. Bring earplugs as there are California sea lions that have swum upriver to make a nice hang out spot on the river side of the boat. We thought the river side would be quieter but I’m not so sure now. There is also drunk boaters that loudly cruise the Sacramento River. Overall a historic stay and no ghosts spotted.

Beautiful boat
Beautiful boat and the food was excellent on the restaurant. The seals can get a little loud if you are on the river side, but they weren’t bad and the front desk offers ear plugs haha. Very nice area to stay

This property is in need of repairs sink was cracked and had some bonding agent so it wouldn’t leak. Door had to be forced to closed. And in general disrepair. On the other hand it is in a great location and the staff made all the difference. Excellent service.

A throwback to yesteryear
The rooms was small, which was to be expected. After all it was a paddlewheeler. In a throwback to the old days, the toilet flushed with a pull chain which was kind of cool. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative review I read before we booked pertained to the noise made by the sea lions, which we found to be minimal. Sitting on the deck for lunch and dinner they were very entertaining. We can't wait to return.

Poor service, noisy all night long
It seemed like every person thay worked here was in an incredibly bad mood. The room we were in was right off the lobby. People were in an out all night long. Then the walkway around the outside of the boat had guests or bar patrons walking by and talking all night long and slamming the lobby door. And to top it off, and no this isn't reqlly their fault, there were sea lions that barked all night long. Absolutely the worst experience.

Amazing hotel
What an amazing experience to sleep on a paddle steamer. I could imagine myself being on board as it used to ply the waters from Sacramento to san Fransisco. I can recommend this one for anyone wishing a great experience

Just need to upgrade to a actual mattress.
The accomodations are next level with Valet,Bag check for early check in and location. The comfort of the room is where it is lacking such as the bed feels like sleeping on a bed spring and the door to the room had a gap about a half inch thick on the top allowing a draft from the water to blast the bed while we slept. The service is awesome though, completely made the stay debatable as to whether or not we return.

Sleeping on the water
Great stay if you are looking for something a little different! I had an injury and our room was 2 floors up (no elevator). It was difficult for me to do stairs. Staff kindly offered us a room change to the floor where the lobby is. We were very grateful. Was a cool place to stay on the water. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Old town Sacramento was a cute, fun town to explore just outside the boat/hotel.
