Just a weekend with my Son for a Kings Hockey game. Hotel is going through some remodeling, but it was quite. Rooms were comfortable, but some updates in the bathroom could help.

A light was burned out in the room. The desk didn't not have a chair, just an uncomfortable stool to sit on. The shower set up is ridiculous. It takes almost 10 minutes to get hot water (which is not at all eco friendly) and there no self for placing soap and shampoo, so they have to be set on the floor. There is no hold bar in the shower. The shower and bathroom fixtures are new, but not a lot of though seemed to have gone into the designing of the shower.

Okay.
Last minute hotel reservation. We were supposed to leave on Amtrak, but I was sick and stayed here before leaving two days later. Our only disappointments were... 1. The chairs weren't sturdy. 2. The television didn't work and when we mentioned it to the front desk they said someone would come up to fix it, but that never happened. The hotel was very quiet. Street noise, but that can't be avoided. There were some shady people walking around near the hotel, but felt safe. I would not stay out after dark.

Nice older place.Bed where comfy.Staff was nice . Close to Union Station. Went with adult son .So everything fine. Would not feel the same way with my Wife or daughter. Do to the sketchy homeless in area

Great location, friendly staff, rough carpet
This place probably had better years in the 60s and 70s, but it was still a steal of a deal being so close to Union Station. Quick ride to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl and the FlyAway bus to and from LAX Beds were a little tough and the property was just dated in general. Carpet outside of the elevators looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the Nixon Administration. Stay away from the second floor or else.

Mauvaise expérience
Mauvaise expérience. Nous avons écourté nôtre séjour car pas satisfaits du tout Bons côtés : L'intérieur des chambres est propre (mais très vieillot) et l'hôtel est proche du centre. En revanche les parties communes sont sales et l'hôtel est tres daté et non entretenu. La moquette fait carrément peur ! Le quartier n'est pas rassurant car il y a de nombreux toxicomanes sur le trottoir d'en face et aussi de beaucoup de détritus.

Awesome hotel in the hub of LA is welcoming
Extremely accommodating staff. Wonderful atmosphere. Currently being renovated and there are signs explaining the vibrations. Whatever they are doing, it is not noisy and the vibrations are nice, especially if I happen to be in bed during daytime construction hours.

First class hotel in a fourth world country
First off I’ve stayed here many times cause it’s functional like leeches for bloodletting. And I will continue to go back. It’s the intersection between hard working immigrants running a hotel and their near homeless clients. I never know what to expect, only that it’s a study of the other half (not the bill gates kind). It’s noisy, spartan, and somewhat dubious. I would definitely not recommend this place or the are if you are a single female traveler. Anyhow the location is walking distance from Union station and steps from rolled tacos on olvera street. Lots of homeless and parties at night. There is a parking lot in the back and if there is an event nearby just know you will be woken up by cars, alarms and general howling. It borders Chinatown, olvera street and blocks from Japantown. It’s cheap, but I can’t recommend this place without one of those “I told you so”. But as I said I will return cause I’ve showered with mosquito ladened water on tropical outposts sleeping on sweat filled foam mattresses of past travelers. And compared to that this is the ritz.
