Disappointing

The room size and location is ok. I was not happy with the facilities. Even though i was on the first floor there was a dangerous step when you entered the room which i tripped on as by the time you switch the light on you could not see the step. View out of the window terrible, and felt i was in the basement, there was pigeons nesting outside all the time making noise. During the night there must have been a pipe running through the room and there was pipe noise continuously and had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Room quite dark. I had to move the light fixtures in the room to make it brighter. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. My total disappointment was when i had to have a meeting online at 12 pm and sat in the restaurant in a corner table and they came to remove me in a rude way as they said they were going to mop the area…while the cleaner was actually on her phone since i went there..they moved me at the entrance of the hotel which was not really ideal to have a meeting as i wanted a quiet area. This is not a suitable hotel if you travel for business…

Hotellin sijainti on loistava. Kunto ja siisteys myös ihan ok. Ainoa mistä iso miinus on hinta. Se ei millään muotoa korreloi hotellin tason kanssa, kuten ei muissakaan hotelleissa Amsterdamissa.

Bien mais des désagréments

Hôtel très bien situé pour tout visiter à pied.Vraiment top pour cela. Chambre correct, grande, fonctionnelle mais la literie mériterait d'être changée. Petit déjeuner correct et complet. Personnel agréable. Les murs entre les chambres sont très fins. La TV des voisins est à notre tête en fait ! Malgré que les chambres soient non fumeur, des voisins ont bien fumé un soir est on a récupéré les odeurs et fumées par les dessous de portes qui ont bien 3 cm de vide.... Très désagréable !

Fantastic hotel

We had booked a double room but when we arrived we were upgraded to a suite. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. Breakfast has a great selection to start the day. Everything was very clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. Close to Dam square and easy walking distance to shops etc. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

Lovely hotel just off Dam Square and only a short walk from central station. Seamless check in and room was good size. Breakfast was continental and limited but did us ok. All staff very pleasant. Bear in mind if you are getting taxi transfer that it cant leave u off right at door as on a pedestrian side street

I was very happy and would probably stay there again when coming to Amsterdam. It is easy walking distance to multiple attractions from stores and restaurants. I read that a number of hotels in the area had problems with temperature regulation and noise. This was not a problem. There was a thermostat in the room. The hotel is on a small Street which is only accessible via bicycle or pedestrians, so there was no traffic noise. If someone has mobility issues and can't walk a block with their luggage, this would not be the right place for them. The room and shower sre small as I've seen in multiple European hotels, but those were not problems for me. Continental breakfast wast standard, not fantastic, not bad. It's a short tram ride from the central Amsterdam Station. If you prefer to take a taxi, I would suggest Uber. Multiple taxis told me they did not have a meter and quoted me prices two to four times greater than the cost of an Uber.
