Here are the highlights.
We were warmly greeted at the front desk (which is attended 24/7 and monitors the comings and goings into the lobby). After checking in, we took the elevator (big plus) to our floor. Our room was sparkling clean, surprisingly spacious, well-appointed and quiet. Don’t skip the gourmet breakfast (not just yogurt and croissants). Location (11th) is amazing, very walkable with fabulous cafes close by. Whether we needed a bottle of wine delivered, restaurant suggestion or taxi service, they were wonderful.
WAIT, there's more:
Our initial reaction was hesitation. It was our first time in Paris and we were driven to a dark, narrow street with lots of graffiti-soaked buildings. Hotel Maison Lenoir had only opened two weeks prior with no reviews, so we took a leap of faith, and it paid off. It was like a shining star. At the front desk, Jawed helped me download an app to order wine from a local shop and delivered it to our room with glasses and an opener.
The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The mattress, sheets, duvet, THE PILLOWS!!
The full-size bathroom was beautifully remodeled with high-end tiles, fixtures & marvelous water pressure.
Breakfast included pastries, charcuterie, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, cereal and plenty of butter. The Cafes Folliet Coffee machine makes the best Lattes ever!
We could sense the cohesive nature of the staff, who seemed to genuinely find joy in their service. Maison Lenoir est notre pied à terre en Paris.
