2/10 Poor

This place needs to be closed down. Dirty, Damp, Moldy, Broken Windows, Unsafe Plugs. The list could go on forever !! It was that bad i checked out the same evening and stayed in another hotel. I'm not a fan of writing reviews good or bad as everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i travel weekly and this is by far the worse hotel I've ever stayed in.

8/10 Very good

Very good property overall. Lovely but also helpful staff showed us around the hotel, and very good area as well (short walk down the high street to the beautiful beach/pier) and lovely beds and bathroom. Very clean and would definitely recommend.

This was a glorified pub with rooms. Got checked in by a bar staff member. The room was like a maze to get to because of bad signage, out the back over the street, even with the single paned window shut, which took 10 mins to shut being an old sash window, the noise was unbearable from the drunks and people swearing. The room was nowhere near the same as the advert, the Bathroom door would not shut, the door to the room didn`t lock properly. We got told the public bar shut at 01.00 and the doors got locked at 02.00. Came back from an evening with friends at 10.00pm to find BOUNCERS on the front door which didn`t give a safe feeling. We packed up and left at 10.30pm.

Noisiest room.
Do not stay here unless you are happy and willing to stay awake until past 1:30am on Saturday night. I was expecting the pub to be open till 12 maybe 1 at the latest but Saturday night the very loud music continued. I tried reducing the noise by shutting the window but as my room was directly above the bar that didn’t have any effect. None of the advertising warned me I'd be kept awake this late.

2/10 Poor

The room was above the pub, as such was very noisy - our family was awake at 1am with the pumping music. The bunk beds for the kids were very rickety, we had to put the upper bunk bed mattress to sleep on the floor but being such an old mattress that didn't help much, you could feel the springs through the sheet. The staff were very welcoming but the hotel isn't suitable for families.

So many doors and stairs to reach the room, like a maze. Felt like living in prison. Staff members didn’t like us for some reason, their facial expressions said it all. Not going to recommend anyone.

Never again
No reception area - no coat hangers - or hooks any where in room for coat or dressing gown - no shelves in room or bathroom - very loose toilet seat - both bedside lamp bulbs flashed. Wall socket loose and hanging off wall - where no head boards on single beds the large grimy dirty marks - sideboard sloped and items slid down. net curtain too short and had holes in them . main ceiling light loose. Wi-fi in-accessible. no tea towel to dry cups. Extension lead from one socket which was loose ? legal. No plug for hairdryer near a mirror. No Parking at hotel or in near vicinity without having to pay. 3 things in their favour 1. Clean white bed sheets. 2 clean white towels daily 3. good shower with hot water

Noisy neighbours
Stayed 4 nights. Never slept comfortably one night. No through draft in extreme heat. Idiots always shouting until 2am or engines/alarms running round the side alley where we were put. Only given one flat pillow per person at first and bed never made/room never cleaned or bin emptied just towels changed once. Cheap and cheerful. But at £49 a night expected a certain level of service. Made to pay upfront before we even got to room even though payment was on hold with Expedia. Whole pub looks tired, dated and could do with a lick of paint. Think it just wants to keep “regular louts” happy. Shame.

good location is its only good point
found it to be grubby, in total need of a refurbishment, the only thing to say for it is clean sheets & towels. stuffy room, duvet should be thrown out, could not believe the state of it...think the mice must have had a good go at it. will definitely not be using this hotel again.

Good budget accommodation
I stayed here last year it is a good no frills cheap hotel in a good location. The staff are always very welcoming kind and helpful. Don't expect 5 star accommodation for rates similar to a backpackers.
