Lovely place to stay, onsite parking and the host was friendly. Very quiet so perfect for a good nights sleep. My only issues are, the room i was in had a large wardrobe covering most of the radiator, not ideal so the room was quite cold despite the heating being on full. There is a desk but theres a small fridge on top of it, in my opinion it would be better in the space under the desk. I would stay again.

I booked to stay here but never got to stay at this property as they closed and left at 8pm and refused to answer my calls or messages at 8:15pm because check in had closed, but no where does it mention they close for check ins at 8pm and they even asked me 5 days before what time i would arrive and still didnt notify me of the timings. They knew a guest was yet to check in and was due in the next 30 minutes but didn’t think to contact me once to tell me the timings. Instead i was stranded and had to travel further at 9pm when i gave up contacting them to a new place to stay. Hopefully they start telling people they dont accept check ins after 8pm and get some customer service.

Great location
Clean enough room and hotel. Perfectly placed for the Customs house and a short (uphill) walk into town. Never saw the host but she seemed nice over the intercom.

Very Cold , out dated decor. Old bedding and Towel
On arriving very friendly , shown yo my room which is in need of new repacement bedding towels duvet very thin to cold for winter use. I had to borrow a sleeping bag just to stay warm , only small radiatior in the room. Not big enough to heat room draft coming in through patio doors deffently need resealed ? Curtiain to thin to make any diffrence for a december cold night with ground frost and by the Tyne .I had to leave very early due to how cold it was In this room did not sleep at all , towels smelled fusty lookjng old and they seen there day . I struggled to fill kettle had to use cup to refill tap broken over all this room needs up grading having stay her before i was very dissapionted. I was visit due to family crisis and this made my visit even more stressfull would i stay again? I honestly dont think i will unless these thing are adress

Avoid the Single Room!
Having stayed here a few weeks ago in a nice clean room with an okay private shower/ bathroom booked again expecting the same. Had a small single room this time with a substandard bathroom (shower/ toilet). Bathroom in need of much attention - lots of mouldy silicone/ grout around sink & inside the shower cubicle. Consequently unpleasant dampish odour in bathroom which had unfortunately lingered into bedroom as bathroom door had been left open. Very disappointed this time. Hopefully other rooms & private bathrooms are much better like the first one I stayed in. Just don’t book the single room until it’s had some tlc. Otherwise a well equipped room with lots of hot drinks & some nice touches like biscuits.
